In alphabetical order Dr. Fager, Kincsem, Phar Lap, Ribot, Sea Bird, Secretariat.

As far as who wins - damn if I know.

ps. I had enough trouble narrowing the list to six without causing a mental meltdown picking a winner.

pps I meant to include Man O'War the whole time I was thinking of my contenders, but somehow left him out, so as not to sully the name of any of my fine contenders by editing them out as the weak link I will let my list stand without the great Man O'War.

Secretariat, Spectacular Bid, Man O War, Seabiscuit, Smarty Jones.

Secretariat would blow them away, just like he did in real life. Interesting side note, when they did the autopsy on him, they found his heart was almost twice as large as most horses his size. Dang, with a motor like that pumping blood, no wonder he left most competitors in the dust.

I was tempted to put in Genuine Risk since she did win the Derby back in 81....hmmm...that would be interesting.
