Male dogs do not go into heat, but if they smell a female in heat they will act strange. The best thing you can do for this is to take him to the vet and get him neutered. If you plan to breed, it is something you will just have to put up with when he smells a female in heat. I hope that you choose to get him neutered, as there are way to many unwanted dogs in this world. Hundreds of them are put to death every day. Good luck.

Male dogs don't go into heat. There is probably a female in heat somewhere in your neighborhood. That will drive male dogs crazy.

Male dogs don't go into heat. They are up for it at all times. Get him neutered and he will probably stop this "marking" behavior, or at least cut down on it.
