I'm not quite sure about what "the reverse" means. Do you mean that thousands of people are being killed, but not innocents? Or that there are no longer killings?
Or are you saying that Iraqui's are killing the United Nations troops?
What a pity it doesn't all settle down, Iraq can turn to peace and our boys come home! Does it really take a dictator to bring peace to a country?

There never was and never is war without propaganda.
By wars, reasons and pretexts are produced to intensify propaganda and - as a rule of thumb - it's always a propaganda contrasting an allegedly good way of life against an alledgedly bad one. There is really nothing more primitive and childish than that, notwithstanding all hightec and science put in such kind of destructive missions.

In any war, innocents are killed. They are called "civilians". This is one of the very worst aspects of wars.
As far as the press being un-biased: they do whatever it takes to sell newspapers....playing to the majority view, or titillating readers so that they will actually read the news reports. It is cynical and of course it is unfair. The United Nations is supposed to be un-biased and also to help with these matters. Ha!

It is propaganda....it is a tactic used during a time of war.
It has been used in almost every war in history. These people used Nostradamus prophecies during WW2 as well and people believed it (Yes this is a fact you can look it up). People will usually believe what the media tells them. That is why there is so much hate and fear in this country.
I for one, think that muslims in general are far more respectable then christians. They actually practice what they preach. On radical sides and non-radical the same.

Its called damage control, America only showed that your troops are being killed so you will want them to continue with the "fight for freedom" but now that the attention is away from the "war" in Iraq its OK to show the damage being done on both sides

Well that's what happens when a more advanced society takes on a backwards one. The people who haven't got the technology have to resort to guerilla warfare.
And the stalemate continues. Look at Vietnam for a good example. It's only a matter of time before someone blinks. Who will it be?

The media doesn't like you to have mixed feelings about things. They show you only what they want to show you in order to keep your opinion under their control. I get upset, too, when people are biased because of what they see on tv or read in the paper.

The media only cares about keeping their advertisers happy, so they show what will keep the money rolling in to their coffers. The truth is low on the list of priorities.
