We are getting married in March, actually on St Patricks Day, and I want to know if someone can tell me what kind of flower would be cheapest to use...I've ruled out roses, and I think lilies would be good. My colors are sage and white. Thanks for your help!

Have you considered carnations? You can even have some dyed green and use them as part of your decorations and centerpieces.

Good luck!

Given the time of year and the fact that you are trying to stay on a budget, to go for greenry with white flower accents. Shamrocks, ivy, pretty ferns, and then little white flowers. Or carnations - they really don't get the respect they deserve.

Ask a florist fo suggestions. I'm willing to bet that "plants" are going to be cheaper than flowers.

shamrock. They are a lovely color, some have white and purple foliage. Roses are really not that expensive. I had a 4th of July wedding 3 yrs ago, and got fresh roses from the Wal-Mart Florist. They were cheaper and just as beautiful.

Carnations are good they take to dyes well. Also, have you considered silk flowers and making your own centerpieces to be used as gifts for your guests to take home?
