We'll make a few books - bury them around the world and who knows - in millions of years time - this thing could even become 'Organised'.

Imagine that.

Interesting idea. See, I think the problem is, are you starting a relgion because the way you beleive is radically different from all other religions or because you're bored? You certainly have the right either way, but it will be better if you really want it. Look into existing religions before you do this, though-maybe they'll have what you need.

Read the book Illusions, by Richard Bach. And here's a quote by him-"Your religion is your way of finding the truth." Keep that in mind.

Here's an idea - religion is based on more than a book - made up by some immature **** who's willing to deceive and diminsh the hope of thousands around the world when they discover it's a load of bull.

maybe you should create a religion that promotes tollerance for all and no prejudice even to the close minded and ignorant christians who will be prejudiced against your religion and call it a cult while the only difference between their religion and a cult is about 2000 years and a mass gathering. So essentially they are a mass cult

It could be about contentment. I always think that contentment would be where you are totally happy, but only get there through a lack of treading on toes, but a pro-active, caring society. If you read 'Join Me' by Danny Wallace, you can see how someone's vague idea of a club, turned into a community of co-operation and happiness.

First off, you need to have enough convincing powers. You also need charm and charisma that can power several houses. When you get followers, make sure they are gullible enough to be pursuaded and also trick them into understanding what you are actually preaching, that makes them feel better about themselves to start persuading others. Try to do fake miracles and other hoaxes that would make them stare at awe.

Here is how I propose the new 10 commandments should read:

1. thau shalt rant, whenever an opportunity presents itself.
2. thau must answer every question in the "religion & spirituality" section of Yahoo answers, no matter how stupid that question is.
3. thau must bother no other god but me.
4. thau must covert thy neighbors oil.
5. thau must always be a hypocrite
6. thau must preach, preach and preach again
7. thau must ignore scientific evidence, despite the fact its proven.
8. thau must select pedophile ministers.
9. thau must cover up the pedophilia in the church.
10. thau must have great riches and only share it with other god botherers.

Study L Ron Hubbard for inspiration. For that matter, you could also read up on Joseph Smith, Mohammed, Buddah, ... aw, whatever. Just look around.

The Jehovah witnesses did it a few College Boys, so guess you can to. But be ware you will never be Christian. Because Jesus already set that one up
and it was to set people free , not to form Religious Dogma,
