i went through that twice.
just think of all the good memorys you guys had
and if he was in pain maybe it was a good thing so he didnt have to sufffer i look at it that way

Mine died when I was really young. I was still a baby when my mom's dad died and I was in first grade when my Dad's dad died. I didn't know what was going on at that time (just that I probably wouldn't see them again) but I saw a lot of people struggling and I remembered that they cried about it and knew that one day they would be up in heaven with them too.

So just cry and remember all of the good times you had with your grandpa. Think of all the things he taught you-know that he is OK now. He probably wouldn't you to be sad about it all the time. Spend some time with people who have experienced their grandfather(s) dying. Usually that helps.
