I know that the bible says God knitted us in our mother's womb, but does it say anything else about if he knows us before we're born...did my daughter already talk to God before I got pregnant, was she an angel? (Christian answers only please, I know other religions are different.)

I stated I only wanted Christian answers. Obviously athiests think the question is meaningless so why bother answering it?

She was not an Angel. She was a person, same as you and I. Angels do not turn into humans, humans do not turn into Angels.
God knew her and loved her and planned her life before she ever came to you. Just as He knows and loves you.

There are two primary views on how the soul / spirit is created. (1) Traducianism is the theory that a soul is generated by the physical parents along with the body. Support for Traducianism is as follows: (A) In Genesis 2:7 God breathed the breath of life into Adam, something which did not happen again. (B) Adam had a son in his own likeness (Genesis 5:3). (C) God did no further creating (Genesis 2:2-3). (D) Adam's sin affects all men -- both physically and spiritually -- this makes sense if the body and soul / spirit come from the parents.

(2) Creationism is the view that God creates a new soul / spirit when a human being is conceived. Creationism was held by many church fathers and also has Scriptural support. First, Scripture differentiates the origin of the soul from the origin of the body (Ecclesiastes 12:7, Isaiah 42:5, Zechariah 12:1, Hebrews 12:9). Second, if God creates each individual soul at the moment it is needed, the separation of soul and body is held firm. The ultimate answer to the question is that the soul / spirit does not exist before it inhabits the body. Whether the Traducianist view is correct or the Creationist view is correct, both agree that the soul does not exist prior to conception

God knows the beginning and the end. He knows the choices each of us will make and the challenges we will face. We did not pre-exist but God still knew us as he knows the future. Neither were we Angels. God created us in his image.

"Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;"

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on
Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in it's place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.

first of all, people can't be angels, we are totally different. In one of the chapters of psalms, (sorry, I don't have my bible with me can't say which one.) David is singing God's praises saying that He watched over him all his life. He says that He watched over David while he was secluded in darkness, the womb. God knew David before he was born and I believe He knows all of us before birth. Some say that we do not have a soul, we are a soul, therefor the view that we are born and magically recieve a soul, we are a soul from the first moment of conception and are real human beings forever.

Er, since there is no god, this is pretty much a meaningless question.

Your unborn daughter didn't talk with anyone until she was somewhat over a year old, though she certainly communicated nonverbally with you at birth and perhaps somewhat before then.

Before you got pregnant? With that daughter? Of course she didn't "talk" with any one before she existed.

In the book of
Jeremiah 1:4,5,6
4) Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
5) Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

I pray that this answers your question, and I pray for you. Amen

Your daughter didn't exist before you got pregnant. The verse you refer to tells that she was created in your womb, so she couldn't have spoken to anyone, even God.

No, your daughter was not an angel before she was born.
It means that even before we were born that He knew all about us, what our lives would be be like. He did create us remember? So who would know us better?

God planned everyone of us, before we were even thought of. Before you were born he knew your mother would have you and what you would have. None of us are mistakes or accidents, our parents may not have planned all of us, but God did.
