Take a CD/mp3 player with you on the plane. If you have a PSP or a DS, I would recommend that you take it with you. If that's not enough, take a big teen/fashion magazine with you, too. The biggest ones you'll find are Sugar and Vogue. If you want more to read, the plane will have provided another magazine in the pouch behind the seat in front of you for everyone. You might not think so, but trust me, they are interesting to read. You can also do a little in-flight shopping by reading the duty-free shopping booklet. There are loads of wonderful gifts you can buy on the plane (perfumes, chocolate, etc). Try having a little bit of sleep, too. You'll need it.
To keep you comfortable on the flight, if there's an annoying, screaming baby on the plane with a very bad mother who doesn't give a damn (I've seen stuff like that), buy some sound-cancelling headphones for your CD/mp3 player. You can also wear them when you read or sleep, just for some peace and quiet.
Chances are the food might be crap (depending on the airline), so buy some nice snacks and a large drink (enough to last you about 6 hours) to prevent any hunger/thirst. I've only been on one Cypriot airline before (Cyprus Turkish airlines), and I have to say, the food is terrible. However, this airline only goes to the north of the island, so if you're going to the Greek side, I really don't know about the service. Sorry!
If you don't sit with your parents, you might sit with some creepy, perverted man. Do not make any contact with him whatsoever unless spoken to (if he has a girlfriend/wife with him, though, forget these rules)! If he tries to flirt, tell your parents (particularly your dad), and that man will be too busy having to deal with your parents' angry fit. If you want to prevent all this from happening, though, first check if you have to sit next to a guy as soon as you get on the plane. If it is a man, ask your dad to swap places with you, unless he's not sitting with your mum or another woman (that'll suck if you all have to sit in different places, though!).
If the person in front of you pushes their seat far back (back enough that you find it annoying), kick their chair like an immature little child. If they don't push their chair forward and/or complain, ask them politely if they could push their chair forward because it's really bugging you. If they don't listen/do it, complain to one of the hostesses, and they'll do the job of making him/her push his chair forward.
I hope you have a nice flight and a nice holiday (I'm sure you'll love Cyprus like I do).
NB: If you do go with Cyprus Turkish Airlines, you won't be able to do any in-flight shopping.

Ipod or MP3 player stocked with podcasts, audiobooks and every variation of your favorite music. This has worked for me on many flights. Plus, wearing the headphones sends others a signal that you don't want to talk.

Take your electronic toys. They allow them once the plane is in the air. If you read then take a book. Have fun on your trip.
