Australia has been our staunchest ally. The most recent leader of Australia is no different, John Howard, was recently re-elected to another term. Yes, I do believe that the ppl from down under (although not well advertised) are our best friends... even better than the Brits.

Up until Operation Iraqi Freedom, France was the USA's most consistant ally. France was the USA's first ally during the Revolutionary War. During the War of 1812, France was for us because we were drawing troops and supplies from the war against Napolean. We were allied with France during WW1 and WW2, although France would ally with willing to bail them out of those wars. France and USA had a lot of common enemies (The British in 1800's, the Germans in WW1 and WW2, and the USSR during the Cold War) which was the main reason of their support. Which is why the USA was disappointed with France's lack of support in Iraq.

There isn't one. We've fought the Brits in the Revolutionary War and in the War of 1812, and they supported the Confederacy against the United States in the Civil War. France has supported the United States in most of our wars, but we fought the French in the 1812 era when we wanted to remain neutral. ANd of course the French do not support the US in Iraq today.

I think Canada. Most people do not think of them, but I have never heard of Canada being against America. Then again, I only know that they have great hockey, good pancakes, and the women are very friendly. Other then that I am not even sure if they care what we do as long as we don't do it to them.
