It's not just Cristian and Muslim women, but Jewish to. It's because the first two enlisted originated from the last one.
Jewish women don't wear veils anymore because of the extremity of antisemitism in the last century and now they just lost the habit.
Cristian women don't weir veils because it's not fashionable and because of feminism, accept for the very traditional ones.
Muslims are the most traditional and women's rights still haven't quite reached them, so there women will probably be wearing vales for another 70 years

Putting a cloth on my head is NOT going to get me into Heaven. It's the salvation thru Jesus Christ that will get me there and Not any other way. There is no way to get to God except through the son, Jesus. A cloth or a veil isn't going to do anything except obscure my sight.

And anyway don't the muslim men believe that they are going to get 7 virgins when they get to heaven?? That's about as absurd as weiring a veil to get me to heaven.

Actually, there are quite a few women who cover that do not belong to the Muslim religion. Mormons and Catholics are two among many. Of course, they go through as much hardship as we Muslims do who wear it, except they face the threat from their own. Just as there is a misconception about us that we are forced to wear it by our husbands and fathers, the same is for them. These days there is an assumption that dressing modestly and choosing NOT to make your body an object of lust means you are being pressured by a jealous husband or oppressive father, while running almost naked means freedom.

Many religions require that the head be covered Islam, Hinduism, Christianity, I know for sure. However, whereas muslim women are coerced into wearing it, the other religion adopts a more lenient policy in that they are not forced out of the church if they don't wear one.

When I was a young girl, as females we were required to wear veils or somekind of a hat to church- Roman Catholic. Eventually that rule was lifted, but many older ladies still respected the old rule and wore hats. I never recall having to wear a head covering anywhere else.

Christian women ARE supposed to cover their heads when in church, when they pray or prophecy. Many Christian women DO cover their heads. See 1 Corinthians 11.

Actually, the veil that a Christian woman must wear that was mentioned on I Cor. 11 is actually a long hair.

1Co 11:15 But if a woman have long hair,it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

This is why...

1 Corinthians 11:15

And isn't it obvious that long hair is a woman's pride and joy? For it has been given to her as a covering.

no need to cover her covering or hide her pride and joy...
