Your pastor/bishop/ Elder/Minister is accountable for you before God.

"Obey them that have the rule over you and submit yourselves; for they which watch for your souls as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief; for that is unprofitable for you" (Heb. 13:17).

Matthew 13:22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

The church already screwed up the whole "accountablity" lesson when they decided to make satan strong enough to make good men do wrong things. Sorry, don't believe in satan, not at all, he's no scapegoat of mine. When I do something wrong, it was ME that did it; the devil didn't make me do it. And this is something we should all come to terms with- where do we place the blame, when we do Wrong? Own it, and learn from it... oh wait, if 'the devil made me do it, and it's soooo good, now I must continue...' give me a break. All are held accountable, not only singly, but also what they did or did not do for the people who needed them.
So those in the Church who have led their sheep into ignorance or hatred, they will be held accountable just as much as the individual.
Hope to have helped-Blessed Be.

The church seems to ignore whatever they want. There are many gospels that are not considered 'the word of god', and are literally counted as not being part of the bible. How convenient to claim that information that disagrees or challenges your current position is false.

If they can do that, they can 'interpret differently' various laws in the bible. It is not so much a religion as it is a business that runs on power and devotion as much as money.

Because most pastors/elders/bishops, etc. aren't in the business of saving souls because they care whether you go to heaven or not. They're in it for the prestige and power. And that's the truth. Look it up.

Matthew 6: 5-7 (the words of Jesus)

"And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.

In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. "

Each and every Christian service includes the Lord's Prayer, but NEVER what puts it into context, just before it. If the church did not ignore this, they would be beggars on the street instead of extorting money from its followers every Sunday.
