I have been extremely tired since my wife has been pregnant. This is our third child and I've never had the symptoms before. I'm getting 8 hours of sleep but when I wake up I'm still tired. What is going on?

i want to test the theory of "old wives tales"... are your other two children girls? the old wives tales say that a man will often develop sympathy pregnancy if his wife is pregnant with a boy.

Sometimes you can get what they call "Sympathy pains".Its exactly that a pain in the rear, lol.Really, you can get morning sickness,i have seen it done it isnt just an old wives tale.Although, every man does not go through this there are quite a few that do.When their wife is expecting he can have morning sickness, the cramps in the lower abdomen, cravings, and the tiredness can fall into that catagory i suppose. You just have to wait it out,if it gets you worried i would suggest you see a doctor although i wouldnt think it would be anything to worry about.

absolutly.

"During my pregnancy, my husband turned into a real klutz. In one week, he managed to splatter salsa all over our kitchen, break my favorite vase, and spill red wine on the carpet. Thank goodness I didn't have his pregnancy symptoms or we would have been in a real danger zone!" --Margaret, Tyndall, FL

"My husband found it very difficult to see me in labor. He became so stressed about the birth of our child that he collapsed on the hospital floor with abdominal pains so severe he said he couldn't breathe. After giving him a shot for the symptoms, our nurse remarked 'That's the worse case of sympathy pain I've ever seen.' We're still the joke of the maternity ward." --Vicki, Lindenwold, NJ

"While pregnant with our first child, I was constantly running to our local grocery store for pretzels, Pringles, and bean dip. One night the cashier made a comment about all the strange pregnancy cravings he thought I was experiencing. I finally broke down and told him the truth. Everything I had been buying was for my husband! He was the one with the midnight cravings, not me!" --Nancy, Liverpool, NY

"During my pregnancy, my husband was very emotional. One evening, while watching television, he started getting teary. When I asked him what was wrong, he said 'I can't believe I'm actually getting choked up watching Touched by an Angel.' I knew then that he was going to be with me through everything -- even the mood swings." --Jill, Minneapolis, MN

"My husband desperately wanted to share in the experience of labor. In the hospital, he was ecstatic. Every time I would have a contraction, he would pinch himself and yell. When I asked him why he kept hurting himself, he proudly said, 'If you're going to be in pain, then I'm going to be in pain.'" --Shayna, LaSprings, IL

"Now that I'm six months pregnant, my husband insists on sleeping like me. He says he wants to get the full pregnancy experience. It's not unusual to find him napping with my pillow between his knees and a heating pad on his back." --Stephanie, Lorain, OH

"My husband experienced horrible morning sickness and was ill for my entire first trimester. His symptoms reflected mine. We would take naps together and often pass each other during the night on our frequent trips to the bathroom. All in all, it's been a wonderful thing having someone to share this with." --Shelly, Charleston, SC

Of course my husband had all the symptoms, but guess what, I didn't have any symptoms of my second baby, I was so happy because he feel what I felt with my first pregnancy.

fake positives are plenty extra uncommon than fake negatives, with the aid of fact the exams are finding for being pregnant hormones on your urine. If somebody exams too quickly and there is not any longer sufficient of the hormone geared up up yet, they could get a pretend adverse. despite if, i do no longer think of your physique could be generating being pregnant hormones in case you're certainly dealing with menopause. i think of the only clarification for a pretend valuable could be if the attempt itself exchange into defective. despite if, with the aid of fact you used 2 distinctive manufacturers, I particularly doubt the two between the exams have been defective. this is sturdy which you have a doctor's appointment already set up. sturdy success!

Since you don't have the same hormones she does, you can't be experiencing the same symptoms, BUT it is possible that you body is fighting off a cold or infection.

Continue to get lots of sleep, more if you can, and drink LOTS of water. Don't take any OTC drugs unless you have to.

Caffeine is okay but not excessive amounts.
