It brought me closer to my parents. I finally realized what parents go through bringing up kids and how hard it was for them. Now my kids are finding out how hard it was for me to bring them up and we are getting closer.

I wouldn't know, I don't have any kids but I think it would. Your parents would want to spend lots of time with your kids meaning that they'll get an opportunity to spend time with you also and that would bring you closer to your parents.

Probably if not now, maybe in later years, when your kids grow up and you become your "mother" and see why she said so many things to you that you might have felt hurt in a way by her words. If she was correct in your upbringing you will do as she did and you will begin to understand why things were the way they were.

no not really, at leats not to my mom because she still critizes everything that i do and im not raising my children right by her standard, she try to tell me what to do and we dont get along because of it, with my dad well i would have to say yes it has because we are closer than ever and becuse my brother and sister want to have nothing to do with him which is sad, ( i am reffering to my adoptive partents because both of my real parents are dead.)

NO . i got sick of mom thinking she could raise my kids better . and with the stuff medical professionals know to day i am amazed mom never killed us .
my mom also go mad at me when i corrected her with some scientifically proven stuff like giving kayro syrup to your baby can cause botulism and kill them . however she did it with us and we are still alive so she knows best .
i do respect my dad more , mainly for not killing her ! he is a great guy and when advice is needed for my kids upbringing , he gives advice that is welcomed .

if they would have paid any attention at all maybe I wouldnt have a baby now. My dad was so concerned about his wife, which is now his ex-wife, and wated so much time with her when he could have been giving all that time to me. My mom is such a stupid *** ***** and is concerned about my 28 year's old sisters dad which she havent been with in like 18 years and he treats her like crap yet she still caters to his *** like he is the damn King of Sheba.
