Since people who haven't heard "the word" cannot be sinners, and cannot go to Hell, shouldn't we stop spreading it altogether? I think theists are just pissed that they don't get a free pass anymore, like babies and "savages," so they try to take everyone else's free pass away. If they really cared about saving souls, they would shut the hell up!

Everyone arguing with me seems to think that babies go to Hell.

Hmm. I can't agree with your reasoning, though I do agree with the conclusion. I think it's simply wrong to tell lies, and therefore "spreading the word" is immoral. I don't think that the "free pass" thing makes much difference.

I think these people are confused and trying to help, but they don't understand the size and scope to the whole issue; Yes, they should probably just shut up, at least long enough to hear what others are trying to tell them. I think any 'theist' tries to bring their ideology to the table, to try to hash out why you don't feel the same way. ("One baby to another said I'm happy to have met you..." RIP KDC)
But, as any enlightened person would reason, these people who would shove their ideology down your throat, must have something they are defending, you get my meaning? They feel as if they need to defend their beliefs; and in doing this, they become even more closed-minded to the views of others. So yeah, I think they should shut up. But then I would have to as well, being a regular on the R&S... But I am only trying to help, and I would defend my theism to my death, because they make me. I would be condemned to a hell I don't even believe in. And so, in summation, I think we should all just turn the other cheek when we see someone doing wrong that doesn't affect us. Karma will deal with it, and if I should run across some bad Karma for not changing a person's ways, then it will be a lesson learned, not ignored (as most do.)
Oh, P.S. For you Bible posters--Wiccans are not modern Canaanites, okay? I work in Light and Love. Do not condemn blindly that which you know nothing of.
Blessed Be.

Sorry, that isn't how it works.

We are all sinners and have already been convicted of it. Unless we repent of our sins and follow Jesus, we are destined for hell. We are to spread the word to give everyone the opportunity to do that before judgement comes.

In this case, ignorance is not a good thing, otherwise every church in the world would be shutting down and keeping silent.

No one gets a free pass. Everyone is aware of the presence of God, Atheists just choose to deny it because they would rather live independantly without clearly defined moral boundries.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Psalm 19:1- The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Jeremiah 31: 33- I Will Write My Laws on Their Hearts and Minds

Romans 1: 20- For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

i love both yet 'Love Spreads' extremely better... brings lower back tremendous early memories of hitting nightclubs and dancing like a fool in public for the first time... that music conjures up the smell of inexpensive cider and kissing women in dodgy alleyways in Stockport city centre at the same time as i develop into 17 ha ha! love that music!

Yes I have a born-again friend that will not leave me alone with all of this. I asked her if all of those poor Jews who were tortured and killed in the holocaust went to hell, she said "of course they did because they did not accept Jesus as their personal savior". I can not accept this. All of those wonderful people who perished and this is what she believes. I took in a friend of my teenage son who was homeless after his mother was murdered and she told me I was giving the appearance of evil because I am divorced and it will look like I am having an affair with this teenage boy. Well then I will just have to look evil.

You can't be a sinner without hearing "the word", hmmmmm, with that logic a deaf Christian would practically be God!
It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open ones mouth and remove all doubt.

No part of being a christian is force-feeding your beliefs down anothers throat. And then, if they reject it, you must hate them and tell them they are going to hell. I think they actually wrote that into the bible at some point in the last century.

And god forbid you be a free-thinker. If you freely-think, you are controled by the devil!

rev 20:11-13 in christian mythology tells them that those who don't have a savior get punished

if they have sinned

so babies dont go to hell no

but once they are old enough to sin and do sin then they need a savior or they go to hell

so, the right thing to do would be, recognize its a mythology and forget about it
