You really want to impress him? Make a real romantic evening just for him. I mean get a hotel room, a suite with a jacuzzi tub, candles, soft music, have champagne chilling in a bucket there, the whole nine yards. Make the whole thing a surprise. Find a hotel that has a fine dinning room. Take him there for dinner. Then take him upstairs for the night. Have a little something special to wear set up in the room ahead of time. Give him a night he will not soon forget. Better than ANY present you can buy in a store believe me. He will be one happy camper and remember this night forever.

Get him something made of silk. In chinese tradition the 4th anniversary is known as the silk wedding.

does he like sports?? get some tickets (for just the two of you) and take him to a game of some sort. (for anniversaries i prefer baseball) they are wonderful. at night.
