i lost the title to my car and live across the country from where i bought it?

i 'm driving the car with BC plates in arizona, and bought the car in NJ. - no proof of ownership now! any ideas? (serious ones please)

Go to the appropriate states web site for dept of transportaion. Obtain form for duplicate title. Complete it. Mail it wait 6-8 weeks for duplicate title.

Apply for a new title, the license branch will have records of ownership. They can trace it by the serial number on the vehicle

Contact the NJ DMV and apply for a replacement title.
