At this time of the year I have puffy eyelids because of allergies. Sometimes you can get a stye which is an eye virus or an insect bite will cause your eyelid to swell. Benedryl is great and is sold over the counter at any drugstore.

You're probably allergic to something you've been applying to your eye area; very often people find that they are allergic to certain chemical products, such as eyeshadows or eyeliner/mascara etc which irritate the skin. The swelling is a side-affect of the bodies attempt to rid itself of the irritant and heal itself. I suggest not using any eye make-up/eye moisturisers etc for a while to see if the swelling clears up; if it does go down, then the cause of your eyelids having puffed up was definitely because of the products you use, and you should therefore either stop using eye products altogether or switch them to hypoallergenic alternatives (and one's which aren't tested on animals and don't contain any animal gunk of course! :)
If they still get puffy even after you stop using any products, then go to the Drs.

You can try putting a cool or cold compress (however cold you can stand it) on your eyes and laying down on your back. For example, you can take a clean washcloth, wet it, and put it in the refrigerator for about an hour. When you take it out, lay down and put it across your eyes. Not only does this feel GREAT, but it can reduce the puffiness. :) This works not only for puffy eyelids, but also puffy bags UNDER the eyes. You can also try cold cucumber slices or cold (used) teabags.

Puffy eyes? This could be because you are putting your moisturiser under the eyelid, you shouldn't go that far, place it no higher than the cheek bone and no lower than just under the brow bone. If you stiop putting it so close to your eyes the puffyness should stop, if you don't do that then i don't know what to suggest. see a pharmacist.

I have heard that Shaklee Lecithin works very well. One lady said that she felt it was a God-send for eye puffiness. She said that she had tried many things but nothing else worked. She takes 4 before meals and at bedtime.
