You are not going to find much on the web. My Great Grandfather was in WWI. I went to the Naval archives Office site and down loaded a form. I think it is Form 90 (sorry a while ago) I sent that in and they sent me the records. But I have to tell you that it did take a while. You can also visit the Naval Archives in Washington D.C. they will let you look at some things and you can make copies there. I had copies made for each time he was mentioned in the ships log. They will also send you any medals that he has won and are no longer in circulation. Well good luck.

Contact the National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis. If your father is still alive, have him contact them for his file. If he is deceased, as next-of-kin you are allowed to request the file. They have an online form you can use, or you can download and print the Standard Form 180 to fill out and mail in.

alot of the records were burnt during an air raid in w w 2.go to the national archives at kew gardens.

Have a look at www.jcollinsmedals.co.uk The more information you have on your father the better . They will for a small fee find your fathers records if they still exist .

If you know what ships he served on try looking them up on the web. also try the Navy news web site or the British legion will help.
