I like to eat fish but I've been told that Tuna and mackrel have high levels of mercury in them and that salmon is all too often farmed and is not really all that good for our health.

Which fish are the best - fresh water or sea fish?

Which are the tastiest and best for our health?

I prefer salt water fish.
My favorite is Alaskan cod or red snapper.
I will not eat farmed fish or fresh water fish.

Any farm raised or wild caught is flavorless, and has extremely high levels of contaminants.

Wild caught fish is farm raised and then thrown into the ocean or sea just in time to be caught.

Wild fish is the best all the way around, especially for flavor.

I'm in Louisiana. Our speckled trout is my favorite. Nothing comes close. Next would be the redfish, then catfish.

I dare you to try eels - jellied or in parsley sauce ("liquor"). They might be an acquired taste, but thousands of Londoners acquired that taste many years ago and look how many of them there are nowadays!
