It should be a non issue. And even if they ever pass a law that would permit it, I , as a member of the clergy refuse to ever porvide my services to such madness.

Thanks, Pastor.
God did not create marriage for anything other than a man or woman. Why is truth called hate?
No argument changes the truth.
It is an agenda of man, contrary to God's will.
By reading the above the evidence of spiritual battle is clear. The banner of tolerance and it's harm has consequences, doesn't it?
"Fight the good fight!"
Contrary to the below, you can refuse to serve what is against God's will, and you should. I am proud of you and disappointed with ordained ministers who compromise.
God Bless

Gay marriage does go against biblical teachings and it is not legal. However, here in America, adults fight for the rights over what they can do with their bodies: gay marriage is on of those rights. Some feel that because it is between two consenting adults, it should be legal. Others feel that if gays have the right to marry, where will it end. Will polygamy and marriage to children be next up? As a member of the clergy, I believe that it is your first amendment right to be able to follow your religious beliefs without the government interfering. You should not be required to perform the ceremony, but like those married through a civil service, you would still recognize a gay marriage as a legal one.

Because it is an issue that many gay people feel needs to be raised. And remember Reverend that not all of us believe in the Bible. (I do, but not everyone does). So, if you remove the religious element, it becomes solely a legal issue, which is subject to debate, lobbying, raising of bills, voting, etc. You know...democracy.

As to your personal beliefs, they are entirely valid. You don't agree with it, so you refuse to perpetuate it. That is fine and is what America is about. However, how can you lambast others for having their beliefs? Just think, if others thought exacly the way you did about some other issues, America would still have slavery, only men would have the right to vote, and we would still be part of the United Kingdom.

If you cannot let another human being do somthing that is different and uncalled for, you certainly should not be delivering god's message. You must have a strange misconception of the morals of the bible. You should love your neighbor and allow him to live his life how ever he shall be, as long as he does not bring harm upon yourself or others. Gay marriage doesn't seem like an issue to where it would be hurting people. If you disagree with it, then don't help. Just let other people go on their way. Don't get involved.

It is so unfathomingly amazing how so many people in one place know nothing about truth and Christ, even for a Rev. You are COMMANDED to give the shirt off of your back to the least of these, (paraphrased). You cannot refuse "services" to anyone and be right with GOD and Christ. None of us can. Now there are parameters with which we interact with those unsaved people, but, refuse service, I think not. For the rest of you, you shall know the truth soon. Will you be saved or not, in time for the end? Hmm...

To the following people;

Yoda Green: Listen up "Brainless Retard". If you knew anything about anything, which I might add you don't, I believe the law of GOD was around before our society's nearly useless and worthless laws.

Amused one: DUH?!? I am quite certain most of the laws of this land came from the bible and our "saved" founding forefathers.

Jen: GOD does love all, he also holds us accountable. Did your father raise you without consequences, I think not.

Great.
But since same sex marriage is a LEGAL issue, why are you carping about it?
The FACT is you brainless retard, that marriage is a LEGAL institute first, religious second, if at all.
Want proof? Try getting married in a church without the legal paperwork. Can't be done.
Now go to city hall and get married by a judge or JOP without mentioning god or any other magic sky pixie. No problem at all.
See how that works?

Same sex marriage is a legal issue because to deny marriage rights on basis of gender is discrimination. As a reverend it is your choice to marry or not marry someone. However, I'm sure there are a number of Judges and Justices of the Peace who will not have a problem marrying anyone of any gender.

Gay marriages are legal in some places. Open your eyes. Judge not lest you be judged. If you don't provide something that the law states is legal, aren't you breaking the law? Petty is your last name because it fits you so well.

That of course is your decision and you are entitled to it, but the opinion of one person is not sufficient to put the kibbosh on this discussion. Additionally of course, marriage does not have to be performed within a church or by a priest.

Simply because something is not legal does not always mean it is immoral and legal does not always equate with right or fair.

I talk about gay marriage all the time even though I am an accountant and my interests include vole juggling and flukeworm pickling. I think homosexuality is very interesting and I bring it up in conversation with my fellow accountants at every opportunity.

I can understand. Gay marriage is an issue with many social as well as religous and ethical contradictions. But mate, think about gays as well as others. They have a right to their acts (no matter how repulsive) as much as Muslims do, as much as Jews do. Sure, you may think that this issue is wrong, but one group of people's beliefs shouldn't stop another person's human right's.
