The bible infers that the divine plan is already laid out.
That would mean that god knew that original sin would take place.

So that would make god just another dictator, attention starved and narcissistic

We were created to interact with God, commune with him, be his friend. God didn't plan on original sin happening. His divine plan didn't include that. It was for a perfect world where people, animals, God, and the Angels could be in perfect harmony. However, God wouldn't force anyone to do his will. He gave people a choice as to whether to obey or not. But the disobedience opened the door to Satan who entered the world and polluted it with sin and corruption. God knew it would happen but it wasn't what he wanted. But, God being merciful and loving, altered his plan. He decided to send Jesus to defeat sin and death on the cross. All who accept him as their savior can return to the "perfect plan" of the God after their deaths or upon the second coming of Christ. All of this just so that people could have free will and not be forced to follow the will of a "dictator" who wanted attention at any cost. So, no God isn't a dictator or narcissistic.

It sound as if you know enough Bible to be spiritually dangerous to yourself. God is a loving heavenly Father, not an attention starved narcissist. He created Adam And Eve to enjoy their fellowship even walked in the Garden of Eden with them in the cool of the day.( Genesis 2:8) We were created to worship God
and to have a loving relationship with Him. When Adam and Eve sinned; just a side note, original sin was not sexual intercourse, God commanded and and Eve to "be fruitful and multiply"(Genesis 1:28),original sin was then as now simply disobeying the expressed will of God.We were created in the image of God and yes God gave us the ability to choose or reject Him. Dictators do not give that choice. God loved mankind so much that he provided a way for us to atone for our sins first through a system of sacrifice but sacrifices had to be repeated because they only covered sin, they could not remove it. When God decided to take on human flesh in the person of Jesus Christ, yes Jesus was God incarnate, He provided the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of mankind. Thus allowing his created beings a way to escape everlasting damnation. A dictator would never allow his subjects to have a way of escape. So to answer
your question, Yes we were created to worship God but we were also created for much more than that. We were also created to have dominion over the earth and to have an intimate loving relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ. When we come to realize that God imbues every himan life with an element of spiritual light, that most people unfortunately ignore or reject. If you want to know what God is really like try John 3:16-18 for aa start then John 10:28 Then Go to Second Peter3:9Then ask yourself and answer honestly does this sound like the attitude of a dictator? I hope this helps and God bless you.

God did not make the choices that mankind has made. He has
given us freewill and with that certain consequences for actions.
There are universal laws set in place that govern our behaviors
and decisions...in the end it's purpose is to show us that without
God we as a human race cannot survive and there is much chaos...but with him there is no end to the blessings in store..
it is not meant to be a punishment or a cruel lesson, it is his way
of saving us from ourselves....the divine plan is not yet known
to man in it's fullest form...we can only surmise, however we
know that God has made promises that he will keep..God is
loving and we must believe in his kindness and goodness...that
from within our own selves teaches us what kind of God he is..
most of us want to give and recieve love and happiness..and
God wants to give it to us..we have to believe (faith) without
actually seeing the evidence right in front of us...this is a part of
his plan to see who truly wants eternal life based on his loving
principals..

That's like asking, did we create money just to spend it. What else do you do with money?

They best way God can be in anyone's life if when we worship God. Then we receive the greatest wealth, freedom and life ever.

And yes, God knew original sin would take place, but He did not make it happen. God lets people make their own choices.

Oh, no. We have free will (choice ) that he gave us. He did not make us a bunch of robots. Our love for him and his gifts would not be authentic he were a divine dictator.
God knows the end from the beginning and the beginning from the end but in his wisdom he allows us to make decisions of our own.And we make mistakes and need him.
He does not need us, or anything - so he is not attention starved, in need of money, power or any of the follies of man.
He is greater and different than us - and he gave us a way to him.
Our purpose is to love and serve God - and to have friendship with him. In that are fullness of life, purpose, peace, wisdom - and the assurance of eternal life.
When we love and serve him he blesses it so much! I find fulfillment in my heart when I do things for him. That can be kindness, serving, self-sacrifice, and it like nothing else. I often go a local hospital and pray with sick people and I get as much out of it as they do. Gos loves and blesses me for it - because it is what he wants us to do.
Worship is a joy... not a trial or drudgery. Your spirit can be filled with God's love in his purpose.
If you want to read The Gospel of John or "The Purpose-Driven LIfe" by Rick Warren ( such a good book). They will expalin it clearly.

God Blees and great question.

Dear Kubrickian: Actually, God knew it was POSSIBLE for the great Separation to take place, but it took a turn in His handling of it - when it arose. There was no Garden of Eden separation. It took place in Eternity between the Father/Creator and the entire Kingdom (spirit-minds) in one nanosecond. It happened:

"You do not realize the magnitude of that one error. It was so vast and so completely incredible that from it a world of total unreality had to emerge. . . .But nothing you have seen begins to show you the enormity of the original error, which seemed to cast you out of Heaven, to shatter knowledge into meaningless bits of dis-united perceptions, and to force you to make . . .substitutions." What caused this?

At a point in Eternity (always the Now), the joint One-ness of the Holy Sons of God was shattered. Listen: " You were at peace until you asked for SPECIAL favor. God did not give it for the request was alien to Him, and you could not ask this of a Father Who truly loved His Son. Therefore, you made of Him an unloving Father, demanding of Him what only such a father [as that] could give. And the peace of God's Son was shattered, for he no longer understood his Father. . .[he, the Son] having attacked his own glorious equality with Him." "In peace he needed nothing . . .[the One Son of God] and asked for nothing. . .. in [anger] he demanded everything and found nothing." "A darkened Mind cannot live in the light." What did we ask for? What did we demand of Him?: That we be given SPECIALNESS - in place of being KNOWN by Him - as One - Equal in our sameness. We wanted individual love - to be known by Him individually, that we might have still more ecstacy . It was a wrong concept. We were created to be One - a spirit-mind, joined in His essence (body). We were granted our in-born Free Will and our experience of the physical - separate and individual - was sanctioned. . .as an experience that would teach us the Father was right. Specialness leads to all miseries. We were allowed to try it, without his Power in it. Earth is sanctioned as a school. As each soul learns, it willingly returns to its true Home (state of Being). The Father awaits EACH return.

Your Father is not the words of human ideas and thoughts: Dictator, attention starved and narcissistic. You can not apply those ideas to Him. He is none of human thoughts.

Bereft without His Sons, nevertheless, He waits with INFINITE patience for us. That we may have what we desired, yet SAFELY. For your eternal-ness PREVENTS any real ending of you. The Holy Spirit was instituted into the Plan to Guide and Comfort you. Your elder brother, Jesus, was placed amongst you to teach you to understand and perceive correctly that the lessons of earth are learned properly and clearly - that you may return. YOU are the returned prodigal Son - when YOU are ready. You see, the Father's Heart is steadfast and sacred toward His children. He asks you to learn. Error is the word the Father desires; in place of "sin."

And now there is a hush upon this world. . .
Jesus will get you home.

Actually we were created to irritate each other and give God some entertainment - the Bible was thrown in to spice things up and give us something to argue about for thousands of years, because we were getting too boring.

Sorry, just couldn't resist

Our purpose was to come to this earth, gain a mortal body, and learn through our trials, disappointments, and joys, to progress through our faith in Jesus Christ. Having faith and obeying Christ's commandments will afford all of us the opportunity to return to our Father's presence.

If we are faithful, obeying the commandments Christ and God the Father has given us, we will be able to reach that joy that for which we shouted in the pre-existence when God the Father presented His Plan of Salvation.
