I have a friend who did something clever. Her kitchen was decorated with a fruit theme. She bought a couple plastic table cloths with fruits on them and cut them to cover her chairs with. Most chairs can be taken apart and recovered. I recover my kitchen chairs about once a year with fabric that I like. When they get dirty or I get tired of them I just buy a few more yards of fabric and get out my staple gun. Easy! Even for me!

If this is a do it yourself thing then you can buy clear vynol for your chairs at walmart for little of nothing and make them. They can be sewed on a stanard machine and you can cut them to the size that you need. There you can also find patterns for covers that you can make your self if you choose too. But if cost is a concern, then make them yourself and save some money on them... easy to clean and perfect fit.

I am assuming that this plastic protection has some sort of adhesive to cling to the chair and it is leaving air bubbles. If so, then try taking a needle or the sharp tip of an xacto knife and pierce the bubble and force the air out.
