Perhaps when you are dead, you can finally find a spirituality for all.

I'm going to go out on a limb here...

No. God will not tell you why being gay was so wrong.
Your troubled mind, however, will be eased.

From a theological point of view, there is *no* solid ground for the "Christian" condemnation of homosexuals. No solid ground whatsoever in Scripture. What you will find, even by the most determined religious heterosexists, is a lot of extremely shaky, tenuous "justifications" for outright bigotry, most of which are based on serious misinformation, or lack of understanding of underlying theological issues and doctrines surrounding the passages they parrot.

Do you want to know God? I'm going to give you three things from the Christian bible to think about, and then tell you it's ok to make up your own mind about Him/Her/It.

The first two are the two shortest verses in the Bible. I figure, being so short, they're the least likely to have been doctored by apostates or heretics over the millenia...

1. "Jesus wept." (John 11:35)

The most poignant illustration that I have seen.. A being who is considered, by the authors of the Book itself, and many more, as being the Living incarnation of Divinity... sheds *tears*.. Sorrow, compassion... for humanity. The Ultimate as Compassionate. Powerful.

2. "God is Love." (John 4:8).. Think about that one. Is there a more direct, open and ABSOLUTE statement about the nature of the Divine *anywhere* in any religious text, of any religion? I don't think so. God Is Love. No need to dress that up any.

Put them both together, and you have a Loving and compassionate Deity. Add to this a hundred examples of Jesus showing mercy, caring for the downtrodden and oppressed, forgiving even those who conspired to murder him in a horrific and torturous manner... And you get what I think is probably the truest understanding of "What it's all about."

I just don't see how we got from that to "God Hates Fags" bumper stickers.

The third thing is a bit more obscure... but almost all the more telling because of it.

Have you ever stopped to notice that, in the Bible... Every time an Angel of the Lord appears to mortal man...the first words it says are "Fear Not." ??

Angels are the messengers of God.. if we are to believe anything of them, they are referred to as his Servitors... his trusted Agents. And the first thing they *always* say is "Fear Not."

Compassion, Love, and "Don't be afraid."...

Now, make up your own mind as to whether or not being gay is "so wrong". Is this something that Jesus, the man who's entire life was one of preaching forgiveness, love, tolerance, and peace, would freak out about? Is this something that a Divinity described as "God is Love" would hate and condemn and damn? A Divinity who's first words of any message through his Servants is "Don't be Afraid?"

I've known a good many gay men and women... and a good many straight men and women. They all laugh and cry the same.. they all love deeply, and are sometimes hurt because they do. They all have joys and sorrows, blessings and sufferings. They all have one thing in common: They are profoundly HUMAN.

So who is the more Christian? The gay man who loves Jesus and his partner, and strives to be a loving, compassionate human being? Or the religious heterosexual who holds hate in his heart for somebody who is different than he is?

What would Jesus do?

No, God will laugh and say why did you listen to all that crap other people told you when I was talking in your heart? If you know being gay is right for you then that is all that matters. You love and that is good. Be happy with who you are and live an honest life and don't worry about what others say.

Being gay isn't wrong...

And when your dead, it's not going to matter anyway.

Live your life to the fullest, while your alive, let go of thinking that being gay is wrong.

God made everything just the way it's supposed to be,so your just the way you were made, and there is nothing you or anyone can do about it.I am not gay,but I imagine that this is one way to thin out the population, through evolution of humanity.
Unless god makes mistakes....
Could it be...?

Why is your mind troubled? Are you conflicted over religious beliefs and your sexual preference? Don't be it's fine so long as you LOVE...God (if there is one) doesn't give a bleep about what your gender preference is and don't let anyone tell you that he/she/it does. PEACE!

No, because if you are gay and if there is a god then you won't meet him.
