Why is it that every time someone proposes a hypothetical race, somebody has to suggest modifying the less competitive car? The Impala dosen't have twin turbos! Deal with it!
As it is, the Impala has 2 extra cylinders, and 2.7 liters on the Stealth, and it still can't keep up. Why should it be given any more of a boost? (pun intended)
Mind you, I hate to take the side of the riceburner (Stealth is just a re-badged Mitsu 300GT, NOT a Mopar) over an American car, but numbers don't lie.

The Stealth is slightly better. Both weigh almost exactly the same (the Stealth is a pig). The Impala and Monte Carlo are crippled by the 3 speed+OD trans and front wheel drive. Plus sport coupes are always cooler.
In a drag race (if the Stealth is an auto as well) I'd say the SLIGHT edge goes to the Dodge, like what mike_bear16 said, by about 2 tenths. And like what dodgedude99 said, that can be made up by the driver. I bracket race a lot at the local strip and I've won or nearly won a dozen races on reaction time alone with my super slow Sebring.

ESP the way i was messing with him after! OH Well Just shows them chevy guy what MOPAR is all about

I'm smokin those things in my srt4! A twin turbo would stomp that thing. Maybe not on top end, but in the 1/8, most definitely!

The Stealth would win easily as long as it isn't in the repair shop.
