If your a brunette, try Aveda shampoo and conditioner.
Or Brilliant Brunette. <---- Works best! ;)

Herbal Essences shampoos and conditioners have them for YOUR kinda hair! Straight, curly, wavy, and others probably.
Try one of those. =)

Have you tried jojoba or coconut oil? They are easy to find at your local whole foods market.
Apply the oil until your hair is coated but not dripping. Put on a shower cap then a heating cap. (Or you can use a turbie or a towel and a heating pad, just be careful not to burn yourself). Let the warmth soak the oil into your hair for at least an hour. Then apply a conditioner and wrap and apply the heating cap again for an hour or two. Then wash and condition with a rich conditioner. Use a good leave in.

After you comb out your hair, put a few drops of oil in your hand, rub your hands together and work it through your length and ends. (NO, this will not make your hair greasy.) Then air dry. Your hair should feel better.

Treat your hair gently, moisturise it. Oil it. If you use conditioners that are cone free, moisture can better penetrate and soften your hair. Cones just seal up your hair shaft. Use gentle, sulphate free shampoos. Avoid heat drying and styling. Grow and trim away the damage. Be nice to your hair and in time it will look and feel so much better.

Try Loreal's Nature's Therapy, Mega Moisture. As a home remedy, you may also use a mixture of mayo, eggs and olive oil. It does wonders for hair.
