the Prozac itself made me very drowsy,*
And i, could sleep all night and day .
so i weaned very gradually off Prozac.
So now i have difficulty in getting to sleep LOL !!!
go back to your doc again
and ask her why you are so tired and can she please ,
give you something other than Prozac,
There are other anti depressant drugs,
around that do not carry the* tired side effect* .
She will explain why you can or, should not come off Prozac
I hope you can sort that extreme tiredness out soon ,
being tired ,can put a great strain on you .
;)

1. In the morning , before breakfast , do some sports ( at least 15 min ) after that take a shower , and finaly eat a compelete breakfast .
2. Nerev be nervous and unhappy .

Always being tired is probably a side effect of taking the Prozac.
Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, inform your doctor as soon as possible. Only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Prozac.
More common side effects may include:
Abnormal dreams, abnormal ejaculation, abnormal vision, anxiety, diminished sex drive, dizziness, dry mouth, flu-like symptoms, flushing, gas, headache, impotence, insomnia, itching, loss of appetite, nausea, nervousness, rash, sinusitis, sleepiness, sore throat, sweating, tremors, upset stomach, vomiting, weakness, yawning
Less common side effects may include:
Abnormal taste, agitation, bleeding problems, chills, confusion, ear pain, emotional instability, fever, frequent urination, high blood pressure, increased appetite, loss of memory, palpitations, ringing in the ears, sleep disorders, weight gain
In children and adolescents, less common side effects may also include:
Agitation, excessive menstrual bleeding, frequent urination, hyperactivity, mania or hypomania (inappropriate feelings of elation and/or rapid thoughts), nosebleeds, personality changes, and thirst
A wide variety of other very rare reactions have been reported during Prozac therapy. If you develop any new or unexplained symptoms, tell your doctor without delay.

Whats prozac??You havent given much details?Obviously by your nickname you are a single mum,are you wearing yourself out with the kids?--too much to cope with??--not enough information. All i can say is that the mind itself can draw enormous ammounts of energy from the brain and leave you totaly lathargic. Are you stressed out or taxing your brain.??If so,this is your problem. Get your mind clear and free of worry and the rest will be easy, join a group or a craft centre and become involved with something .Best of luck.

Okay, well prozac can do it..... ever considered changing that? Also a body can get too much sleep which leaves one feeling lathargic...any more than 8 hours can have negative effects. Also ginsing is a great energy booster. Best wishes

I used to have that problem. There is a hormone called melatonin that regulates your sleep/wake cycles. You can buy this OTC at your local drug store. It is natural and there are no side effect. I get the 1mg tablets and I take one about four hours before I anticipate that I will go to sleep. My doctor recommended this to me. She knows that I will not take any prescription medication that I don't feel I need to. I like this because it is a natural hormone.

You could be anemic, or there could be other health problems. I say get a second opinion. Your doctor should have done some blood tests before upping your prozac.

Well... talk to your doctor. Eat a healthy diet (fruits vegi's meats and whole grains... sometimes sugary stuff.) Also excercise or be active every day. Don't hurt yourself though--- so work on 5 minutes of excercising a day for 1 week then add 5 minutes every week.

Might be for many reasons...Concerning sleeping, the best is to go to the bad early and to wake up as early as you can, 5-6A.M.
The natural energies around us, bioritm etc are very important!
