First of all, it is not three kings but wise men.

Matthew 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

Secondly, the stars that was metioned was actually angels that leads their way to JESUS.

Revelations 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

Actually, in the bible angels are sometimes called stars.

They followed the star, that means going in the direction of. The star didn't move, the kings did. This was a special star and shown brighter than the rest. God created the earth and all that is, if He wanted to create a star that talked .he could have.

The "Star of Bethlehem" or whatever it may really have been, remained stationary over the place where Jesus was staying, for over a year.

The Magi "homed in" on it to find Christ.

For your infomation, normal stars do appear to move, both throughout the course of an evening, and throughout the course of the various seasons.

"Star" is a loose translation. They were probably following a comet. But keep in mind that this story falls in the category of folklore or legend. There's no proof that there were ever kings or wisemen present at the birth.

if God could make time stand still, don't you think he could make a star stand still too?

also, have you ever used a compass ? the star was the general direction, before the aid of compasses we used stars, and the moon and sun for directions. and even used the sun as a time table. (sun dials)

actually, the North Star is still in the sky, so go look tonight.. it's the brightest one!

The star wasn't moving. The Bible never says that. Look it up if you want.

God bless!

"Follow a star" is a way of saying that they were ancient astrologers. They calculated the date and place that the saviour would be born, they went there, and they found it to be true.

Of course... I'm not telling you to believe the Bible, if you don't.

Just explaining that's what is meant.
