Tell her all the benefits of going to that school, better education, safer learning environment, better teachers, anything that is an improvement over the former school. Ask her to make a trip with you to the new school and you show her that you know the route and can confidently handle the trip. Approach her on an adult level with all the benefits of making the transfer and then show her, "Mom, I'd like to invite you to come with me so I can show you the trip to school will not be as bad as you are thinking." One afternoon, prior to you having to make the trip alone, ask her to come along. Don't just tell her, show her. I always appreciated it when my sons showed me they had it under control rather than telling me.

Why don't you ask your mother to make a list of each of her concerns. Then the two of you can sit down, calmly, and talk through each. Some of her concerns may not related to the journey, but this way, each of you has a chance to listen to the other's point-of-view.

While Mom is making her list, why don't you make a list of the reasons it would be beneficial for your to attend the different school. Add to your list different ways you would be responsible for getting yourself there safely and on time.

Good luck!!

try to have her talk to the Principal or guidance councilors @ the school. Or if you happen to know anyone who's going to go there have her talk w/ their
parents, maybe you can all work out something.
good luck
