They can't? Wouldn't know why not. I have never styled black hair, but it seems that it could be done with the right hair chemicals and/or styling products.
What about Mr. T? It wasn't a TALL mohawk, but I don't know what else you would call it.

Who said that black folks can't get mohawks? Black hair can pretty much tolerate any style that can be emulated. Have you checked out that video with Dem Franchise Boys(Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It) with the sista with the mowhawk? That's the rage, girl! I think they're cool.

This girl in my class she's black and she made a mohawk but not cutting the side, she like bobby pinned it up .

I had a mohawk for years untill it got too long to spike. Then I dreaded it.

Hmmmm, good questions. Most likely, if you want to generalize and assume your question to be legitimate and true, its because they have more sense than to have a style like that. LOL. But we all know in reality, that bad hairstyles have no racial barriors at all.
