It is easier for some people to fight on the phone since they are not face to face with the other person. Somehow, some people are less apt to fight or argue when they are physically in the presence of the other. Call it a psychological thing. This was happening with me and an old girlfriend, she would get meaner with me on the phone. I brought this up in person once about why she wasn't as mean and grouchy to me when we were with each other and she made some excuse like "because you're so cute," blah blah blah. Most people seem to be more polite with door to door salespersons than telemarketers!

I can top that. My man and I fight when we're on the phone AND when we're together. LOL, but we never stay mad at each other. I guess it's our human nature to quarrel. Not that I like to do it or anything.

Probably because for some people it is easier to be honest about why you are angry and what is bothering you when you are not face to face. Some people hate confrontation and they hide behind a computer, or a telephone, or a letter. It is a way of dealing with things yes, but I am not sure it is exactly a healthy way.

happens to me too. Its because on the phone you can't see the other persons facial expression, and can't tell if they are joking or serious. Just talk about this in person and promise not to get overly emotional/serious over the phone.

Probably separation anxiety makes you both irritable...at least, that's one possible answer. On the other hand, you could be talking to him while he's trying to watch the game ( that'll definitely do it, too).
