I'm in 12th grade. I have a crush on this guy in my grade. I'm the class president, he's the vice president. Problem: He likes another girl, who likes him back. How do I get over him?

We're not really friends, we're more like acquaintances. I mean, he's nice to me, but we hardly know each other .We're not close... at all.

Ok, some of you have some great advice. I've tried hard to follow it, but it's proving to be tougher than I thought. None of his friends or any of the other guys seem attractive in comparison to him, and I see him everyday and it bothers me so much that in spite of the fact that we have at least a weekly interaction, he still hardly knows I exist.
And plus, it's tough to see him with this other girl. Can I please have some more suggestions? Should I try to avoid even seeing him at all costs unless it is absolutely necessary, like for a meeting?

This is the age old sad story of life. Loving someone who doesn't love you back is really hard. The good thing is that usually high school relationshps don't last forever. So....you can make time with someone else you like while you are waiting for your crush to get rid of this girl (or vice versa) or you can make yourself more miserable by mooning over him. You may find out that he's not all you thought he was anyway. Plus, you never want to try to break up a couple, let them fall apart on their own.

You don't. Since you know he likes another person, be happy for him. Work happily together on school project and be best friends.
Never give him a cold shoulder or negative hints or action. It will damage the friendship.
"It takes years to build a good friendship but second to make enemy". Look on the bright side if you did not notice, there are others guys that you have over look.

everybody has a crush on sumone, but it doesn't mean your in love with them. I would try to find sumone else instead of breaking your heart over this guy. and if you still can't get him off your mind, spend as much time as u can with him, talk to him a lot, and u never know, he might come to like you too.

I know this is going to be hard, but what I suggest is finding as many of his faults as you possibly can. Remove the rose colored glasses and pretty soon the infatuation will start to disappear.

Well highschool will go by so fast, you won't think much about this guy in a year, especially when you go to college. So just try not to think of him in that way, and occupy your time with your friends.

he may not always like this other girl, so in the meanwhile find another piece of eyecandy to obsess over. you may find that after your done with a potential new guy, the vice-prez may be availible. good luck

always a tough one, but first dont be as active in his life for now, leave open space to find someone else, and go out of ur way to find someone, instead of them finding you, cause u waited for that guy, so dont wait for the next

its hard because i know what love is but you have to avoid your feelings when his around and keep your self busy with more important things at this stage .one day you will find another
