I have protruding front teeth. I just had my veneers done on my front two teeth and my root canal was removed advised by my dentist in order to reconstruct the outlook w venneers to have a "straighten" look. Its called Instant Braces. Its been almost 2 months and i have this "sour" feeling when i accidentally knock my teeth into somethings. e.g. cup..

1. will the "sour" feeling go away completely? is it a sign that my root canal is not removed properly?

2. Is it unnecessary for my dentist to remove the root canal initially? (as i see no point in it at all, my teeth is not pushed in, he merely saw it into half, make it tiny and put the veneers on it.

Please help!

A root canal kills your tooth. A tooth is alive and pumps 24/7 through the center via your root.

When you grind your teeth away, your nerve is exposed. A root canal removes this nerve so it won't hurt like hell the rest of your life.

I have no idea what a sour "feeling" is.

I got this feeling too when i have my root canal treatment on my molar tooth several years back. The "sour" feeling goes away after about a week, yours seems exceptionally long, u should go back to your dentist and check again.
