Isn't this very hypocritical?

There is only less than one minute of difference between what is legally called an abortion and what is legally called murder. If the body comes out but not the head, it's still legal to kill him or her. But the second that the head of the baby comes out, the killer would be sent to prison for murder.

By the way, I'm asking this in the religion section because it's an issue of morals as well as legal ethics.

It's wrong. Clearly, it's murder. Abortion really needs to be stopped. Like you said, it's extremely hypocritical.

The country that kills its own children has no future.
Whether its in the womb or outside the womb its murder and it is satanic.

In Mexico, the Aztecs would murder children as a sacrifice to the serpent god. Then 9 million of them became converted after the appearance of the Virgin of Guadalupe. There were baptisms occurring 24 hours a day for about 10 years, that indeed is miraculous. These diabolical killings stopped.
Now in "modern" times we bring this murderous practice back under the names of "freedom" and "convenience".
Just because something is legal to do does not mean it is the moral thing to do.
The unborn don't have a voice to say that they too have a right to live. They are defenseless. That is unconstitutional.

By the way, the woman who began "Roe vs. Wade" became a Christian and deeply regrets what she has done while under the influence of the world. Now she does many things to help women who also have regretted having abortions. She helps them with the many emotional, mental and spiritual problems that result from their abortions.

I can only assume that people don't fully understand what a horrible thing they are doing. Perhaps it is because Western culture, especially our legal system, focuses so much on the letter of the law. We are forever trying to find moral (and legal) "loopholes", and we get so hung up on that that we forget the bigger picture. Also, our society seems so hung up on "tolerance" that the Christians are the only group that it is politically correct to criticize. Everyone says, "well, I wouldn't have an abortion, but it's not my place to say that others can't". Then they pat themselves on the back for being tolerant. Besides, if you want a legal precedent, it is a double homocide if you kill a pregnant woman, so clearly (at least on some level) the criminal justice system views the unborn child as a living entity with certain rights. I don't know how they can justify abortion to begin with. It's all horribly sad!

I think its because of their eyes. Eyes are windows to the soul and if you dont see their eyes, they havent yet to have a soul. I think either way its wrong but their are circumstances that I can see being allowed to choose, such as rape or incest. Its not the childs fault though but I know some mothers would see it a sa constant reminder of pain and terror. Its best to give the child away at that point. Fromt he day of conception, that little baby is gorwing and although the mother may not know it, by time she does it has a heartbeat. I think at anyhtime after that it should be considered murder. This is never ending battle. I feel that if every state were to ban abortion, you would probably see more Andrea yates' in the worl, those who claim to have a mental issue to get out of being responsible. There are always people willing ot help take care of children that are unwanted. There are people out there who wish everynight they could have children but never can so these are the people who would love that baby more than the mother ever could since she would choose death over life.

This is one issue that I think SHOULD be dealt with on a federal level, instead of a state level. The reason being because if a girl wants to abort say at 6 months, and lives in a state that doesn't allow it, then she can just travel to a state that does allow it. My personal opinion on the whole abortion issue is that two doctors must agree that the mother's life is in grave danger if she carries the baby till birth. That would be a very rare occurance with the medical tecnology today. I don't think a person, simply based on their own decision, should have the power to eliminate a human life.

Basically it is because we have dopey legislators and judges in this country. But not to worry---one day we will be judged for what we allowed to happen to preborn babies. And don't worry---there is no hypocrisy in that judgment at all.

I could never tell you how sad it is to realize that half this country has no idea that it is legal to abort fully 9 months into the pregnancy. As long as the woman is not in labor---it is legally all right to kill the baby. There is no morality about the situation but it is considered legal. I have heard people argue that the difference between a baby and a fetus is the coffin. *sigh* Very depressing situation for people who believe in birth.

*sigh*

That may happen where you live. But where I live it's against the law to abort after 3 months of pregnancy.

Could you site where you get these statistics on the legalization of abortion up to 9 months? Most states, that I know of, do not allow that.

I see your point, but taking it to the extremes like this is no different than what the extreme of the other side does.

AMEN! It makes no sense. Except for cases involving r.ape, there is really no way to justify abortion...especially partial-birth abortion. It's a horrible,m.urderous practice that needs to be stopped! It's been proven that after a few (I believe 2) months, the baby would feel pain, so abortion would greatly hurt the baby before it died.

But even if the abortion happens before 2 months, life is still precious and sacred, and it should be considered m.urder unless it is justified with r.ape or if the mother would be in danger of dying.

I will be praying on the subject!!!

God bless!

She can't. Every state has limitations on how far into a pregnancy it can be terminated. Only a couple states allow termination in the 3rd trimester, and it has to be proven that the fetus is a detriment to the mother's life at that point. and that the fetus would not live outside the mother anyway.

Healthy feti are not allowed to be aborted at 9 months.

Thre differences in the cold heart of man. I do not understand how a so called doctor can turn a squirming healthy baby around in the womb to deliver feet first to bludgeon it in the head to kill it. This is done to keep anyone hear the childs screams. It should never ever be allowed. It is truly cold hearted peoplle from the so called doctor to the nurses to the unfit parent that can carry out an act that horrendous. Why would you want to kill your child at all. They areaa blesing from God

Because this world is sick.
By the way,
"Only a couple states allow termination in the 3rd trimester, and it has to be proven that the fetus is a detriment to the mother's life" this is not true. There is always a doctor who will peform this procedure. I don't want to get personal but someone I know aborted her fetus at 6 months and it was not a threat to her body.
