Now there was a place in Irvine, California that had a Philly cheese steak sandwich place. We had an hour and twenty minute lunch break every day, and this place was five minutes away.
Every single day we went to this joint, and every single day we barely made it back on time because the line was so far out the door that we could barely make it through, and sometimes we didn't before we had to return to work. They wouldn't take call ahead orders, it was first come, first serve, and the only thing they made was Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches. They didn't do so much as butter a piece of bread.
Now I don't know about California versus Philly as a whole, but for my money, this little place, that just so happens to be in California, beats all the others to death.
