Yesterday, a horrible wildfire threatened my town. Over half the town was evacuated (about 2500people). There were firefighters from all over trying to save the town, And even though the police were on the radio pleading with people not to go out and look and get in the way, there were still morons out there getting in the way of people trying to evacuate and fire crews trying to save the town. What is wrong with people sometimes.

There's this psychological syndrom or something (i cant remember wat its called sorry) whereby people are 'naturally' fixated to disasters and tragedies..yet they wldnt do anything about it...

for me i guess its curiosity..fear..cos sometimes one cant really get a front row seats on such things..most of us spend our entire lives knowing of tragedies and disasters only on the telly... well for me cos i live in singapore and there aint much for us to witness..thankfully..

Not sure, maybe they are just bored, and ignorant. Or want to see something that they can not imagine to be true...

Sorry to hear about your town...

I kow what you mean.
Some people just get their kicks from disasters.
I dont think they consider that they are hindering those who are trying to help.
It is morbid curiousity.
It sickens me.
