pull back the husks, pull out the silk, pull the husks back up around corn. soak for 20 mins in very cold water. cook on upper rack if possible. husk will be blackened, but the corn will be perfect. serve with melted butter mixed with lime juice and garlic, tastes great......

The key is make sure you at least rinse the husks first give them a bit of water to cook off before the husks start to dry and burn.
Depending on how you like your fresh C.O.C. cooking time can vary between a few minutes to as much as a half hour. Make sure you turn them regularly so that the husks brown evenly on all sides to ensure they cook completely.

A lot of people soak it first, etc. But the other day, my husband brought it home & all he did was pull out the silk that was sticking out and throw it in the oven for 30 minutes. It looked all dried out, but we let it cool a bit, then pulled off the husk and it was very good.

some peel the husk back(but do not remove) brush the corn with seasoned butter, replace the husk and tie with twine.

Hi, I've known friends to put it in foil on low heat with a little water in the foil.
I've never tried this personally but I've seen it done. I would imagine that you have to turn it quite often on a gas grill.
