You need to call your doctor IMMEDIATELY!

The worst any of my 3 sons ever had was a low grade fever and that was only the day of the shot. Only people who are good in their heart will tell you to take him to the doctor (or ER immediately!)

Oh I remember my kids and now my grandkids getting them, they are a necessary evil in life.
The pain at the site and some swelling is normal, a low grade fever is normal too the chest congestion is not normal he may have picked something up, but I would call the doctors office anyway.
Babies that age dehydrate very quickly & their little lungs seem to take the worst hits from it.
If in douth call the doctor, better to be a pest than to have a sick baby

This needs to be addressed by a doctor ASAP. Paying a co pay to be told everything is OK is better than having a child who is permanently damaged from a shot. Friends of ours child was damaged because of a reaction to a vaccine the doctors voted 2 to 1 the reaction was not severe so they gave her a second dose and she is alive but will always be in a vegetative state. Don't play or delay.

vaccinations ensentially are dead virus cells being injected into the system. they work because the virus, being dead, shouldn't attack the system, but the system will still recognise the virus if you happen to become infected in the future.
Sometimes however, your body will react to the virus and will actually contract the disease. This is rare, but normal.
My sister had the worst case of measles seen in our city after her vaccination.
I suggest taking your child back to the doctor.

Never ask for medical advice from anyone other than your Ped/Dr. It could be deadly otherwise. Good luck.
