As I don't smoke marijuana I can't say exactly how it makes you feel other than the word "high". I think people smoke this because they can't cope well with life's issues and just for a short time they can forget about life and whats happening. I can tell you first hand that I have seen it's destruction. Marijuana is just the beginning. That certain feeling that you get keeps popping into your head, your mind. After some time, then it's other stuff, harder stuff that you can get your hands on. Again your mind says it felt good using or taking it. A trick out of reality, a dependence on something you can no longer control. Little issues that you could have easily dealt with now become major problems and to relieve the stress and uncertainty, more stuff. Each time your mind is getting simpler and you don't even realize it. Problems are all around you now due to the smoking or whatever drug and your best reaction you can think of is more drugs. I believe that no mind, no person should be wasted because of the use of marijuana or any drug.

As long as you do it responsibly, like a drinker should drink alcohol, I don't know of any disadvantage unless you get busted since it is still illegal. They say you could get cancer, but that's a smoke screen. You'd have to smoke a pack of joints every day to get cancer. Not only would that be really hard to do, it'd be an awful waste and cost a fortune. They say it leads to other drugs, but it really doesn't. It is associated with other drugs, and the temptation is there to try them, but only because of the idiot laws which make it illegal and, thus, put the pot smoker in the same environment as the heroin addicts, cocaine snorters, and so on. The laws that make it illegal are what put a pot smoker at risk to try other, dangerous, drugs. As long as you say NO to those vices, pot smoking is not going to drive you to be a pill popping, powder snorting, syringe carrying addict. If the idiots would legalize it, regulate it, sell and tax it, the pot smoker would never be exposed to any of those hard rugs which really do screw your body and mind up. Not only that, but the money made would benefit the economy, and free up those DEA agents to more efficiently go after the stuff that really is bad for you, the hard drugs. But remember, just like alcohol, it is easy to abuse it. You have to be smarter than the bottle to drink responsibly, and you have to be smarter than the baggie if you want to smoke responsibly. Don't let it run your life, lose your job, or anything else. Responsibility!

Well, for one thing, it's illegal and can get you into a lot of trouble. For another, it will drain your energy. You could become what people tend to be known as "burnouts". A lot of girls don't like it either. Smoking anything is not good for your body. It may not be proven that marijuana can cause cancer on it's own, but it sure can help. Smoking every once in a while is just how it will start out, just like drunks drinking once in a while. It can also cause anxiety attacks, and many other psychological defects, such as depression.

From what I've heard, it can temporarily increase your appetite and enhance your sense of taste. If it's good weed, it can produce a sense of euphoria. If it's inferior weed, it'll basically just put you to sleep for a while.
But good or not, it takes away the smoker's ability to concentrate on complicated tasks. And it tars up his lungs worse than cigarettes do. And it impairs judgment, which is necessary for driving a car or for operating heavy machinery safely. It can make you write checks with your mouth that your fists can't cash. It can make you shoot at the tax collector... and miss.
And, of course, just carrying the stuff around is illegal and one of your local Barney Fife's might arrest you.

It will make you stupid especially if you do it regularly. It's not as bad as alcohol which will cause you to lose your motor skills. Plus eat up your liver. Health wise it might give you bronchitis from doing too much of it but that's about it. I dont think it should be illegal. There are a lot worse things out there that are legal that shouldn't be.

If you live in the US it is illegal. It doesn't matter what you believe. You could end up losing a job or the ability to work at many jobs if you get busted. A larger percentage of the folks in prison are not murders or thieves it is folks for drug possession or intent to sell (which has to do with the amount). As long as you are willing to pay the piper......If not move to Amsterdam...

1: People still frown at it, so a boss or supervisor might not think it's a plus towards job advancement
2: It interferes with the memory part of your brain
3: It interferes with your own desire to get more out of life (adds to feelings of apathy)
4: You're perceived as a slacker - someone going nowhere... Perception is a big part of how people react to you as a person.

Although I have smoked it in years, I think it's harmless. I think it's way better than other drugs and drinking. Definitely better than all the crack/meth out there! I think the world would be a better place if we all smoked some weed and mellowed out!

You're taking toxins into your body just like you do when you smoke anything else.
If you want to end up with lung disease...keep it up.
