I have heard that saccharine that is used in artifically sweetended products can cause cancer. Is sodium saccharine the same as saccharine? ( I have found it mentioned in the ingredients of diet fanta.)

Yes.It's simply saccharine bound to a sodium molecule.Exactly the same with all of the associated risks.Aspartame has been shown to have some side effects also where Splenda or sucrolose has not. They are both non caloric like saccharine.
