Touchy subject, but let's see. . . I guess it depends on who these teletubbies really are. You have Jerry Falwell who knows all and sees all, Pat Robertson, who is a modern day prophet in his own mind, and the grand wizard of the homophobic sect James Dobson--For real, these three are just too stupid to realize that they are what Christ had in mind when he said that they are like blind guides leading the blind whereas they will all fall into the Pit.

To see if these people are real or just telemarketers, just read Matt: 23--all of it. Compare what you read to those who infiltrate your TV and you'll be able to answer your question. Read also Matt:15-20, the teaching of false prophets, and Matt:21-23 about His teaching of true discipleship.

I once believed as these so called "Chosen Ones" do. But, when I finally read the bible for myself, my eyes became open. It's not the Word that's the problem, it's the messenger that brings it. For, if he brings the Word without politics (Pharisees) or if he(or she) does not pass judgment on others, or does not skip around the bible quoting from the old to promote a way of thought, or, and the most important thing, he obeys Jesus' "Greatest Commandment" in Mark 12:28-34 then no one should pass judgment on a televangelist.

As for the aforementioned teletubbies, using the bible for reference, these three are NOT wise men, they are just plain evil!

The fact that we seem unable to put these people behind bars is an example of why special treatment for religion is not desirable. Religion is the perfect con. It is government protected, tax free, and the product they sell never has to be delivered until you reach a place that doesn't exist. Little wonder so many con-men (and women) jump on that manured money wagon.

Televangelism should be against the law. They take advantage of physically sick and frightened people who are afraid of dying. Some of those people are on fixed income and the TV evangelist asks them to send in their money so they can be prayed for which probably never happens even if it would do any good.

They may be silly, but they are engaging in freedom of speech and freedom of religion, so it's all good. There are some countries which have banned such people from television and radio (I believe Canada does not allow evangelists to have TV or radio shows). To me that's scary - if they can deny one segment of the population their free speech rights, they can deny ANYONE's free speech. No thanks.

It depends on who it is. I like Robert Schuller. Although his show may be a bit glamorous, I think his heart is in the right place, and he is trying to do the right thing. The same with Billy and Franklin Grahm. I support their ministries. I believe they are actually saving souls.

Now--some of those "Word of Faith" kooks--forget them. Like Benny Hinn and Kenneth Copeland--if you aren healed or doing well in life, you dont have enough faith and arent giving enough money.

Awww Bullsh!t!!!

They are simply bigger liars and thieves than those that are not on TV.

Really, look at where they do what it is they do. TV, for the most part, is for those that can not or will not use their brain for anything. Try reading a book!!!

It is a good idea,if at the end of each cliff-hanger will win the true of The Old and New Testament.

I don't believe people who seek fame and fortune in the name of religion.

Some are OK (like Terry Winter). Others are not and you can see that there is a problem.
