Neither. Life experience has helped put taught religious truths into context.

Logic is a major component of faith. God didn't give us the power of reason just so we could attempt to prove Him wrong. It can also can be used to prove Him right.

The dichotomy you present is an unhelpful one. An individual's beliefs, whether religious or secular, are shaped by both. There is nothing inherently wrong with accepting a well established faith so long as you actively engage with its basic precepts rather than accept blindly. Remember, that no one person can have so much experience of life that they can claim to know everything. If they did they would have a very limited understanding. So it is important to reflect on the experiences of others as well. This is why people chose to join churches.

They are both right. You are taught religion by your parents as a child. When you get older you read the bible and it is revealed to you thru reading, studying and believing all thru life.

There are some ethical knowledge the religion has provided us. It is true for all. Will anyone of any religion deny that we should always speak the truth or we should be honest in all respect?

For me anyway it was life, logic, and searching. I discovered the religion that answered my questions, even though I was raised in a Christian home, Institutional Christianity, for me, never did answer the questions I had.

it was revealed to me in real life, all the things i read in the Bible, manifested in my life- and i was hooked in an instant.
