No, he told the disciples to bring the donkey and if any questioned them to tell them that the Lord had need of it.

If what you are saying is true then it would probably be alright to steal something in the area you live in as long as it's value is less than or equal to the local going price for a donkey. Look at the classified ads for donkeys in your area and use the lowest price
found. This should keep you out of trouble in the hereafter.

Well, I'm not so sure it shows him stealing a donkey. He tells his disciples about a man with a donkey... and that they should get the donkey. Who's to say Jesus didn't know the man before he ever met the disciples? I mean, come on, the bible only shows about 2 yrs of his ministry...

If you take Genesis as literal history, then there is absolute authority, and the rest of the Bible is true, and Exodus 20:15 which says 'Thou shalt not steal', is also true.

the "stealing" of the donkey was questioned by the owner and permitted thus not stolen but borrowed.
