Why do we dream only when we sleep?

and do dreams ever come true? I once heard a someone say a dream is something that is going to happen or you want to happen... how much truth is there in that?

Because your brain gets into that REM deep sleep when only your brain is going but your body is paralyzed, Before that your body can move but your brain is not yet in that deep REM (rapid eye motion) sleep, that's when your brain & eyes are working & dreaming but your body is disconnected & just like paralyzed.You dream about your feelings & things you know, just like hypnotism or when you get drunk, your true feelings come out, that's why people thind it comes true, it's just that it's something you believe in so when your wake, you'll tend to do things to make it happen.Try to clear you mind as much as possible & the right answers & decisions will come out because there isn't all that interferrence running around in your brain. You'll be a lot happier for the rest of your life. Thats what I do, When situations arise, I identify it instead of freaking out , then clear my mind & attempt to make the best decision based on the circumstances. Sounds complex , but w/ practice, will come naturally, you just have to know the steps. This is called "Widsdom" & the earlier you learn how to control your mind instead of your mind controlling you, the better your life will be. You'll be surprised the things you can accomplish. Actually you can find on internet lots and lots of theories about "Dreams" , especially for Sigmund Freud

In general Dreams are a series of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations occurring involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep.

But noone still sure about the secrets of dreaming .. while you are dreaming , you can see however your eyes are closed physically .. hear voices and propably Run or fly!


well , some philosophical thories says that when you sleep , your soul travel to the infinity space "where is your true home" thats why when you get up in our world , first question come to your mind " where am i?

cause your soul feel homesick being here ..

anyway ! i cannot give you certain answer ,, but I advise that you should trust your dreams sometimes , cause even in religious books .. prophets did dream before .. and i guess its true thing :)

We also daydream...but then is is truly a state of wakefulness, or are we at the subconscious level? Dreams that come true are sometimes a result of our interpreting events that happen as having some relation with a dream we had, or it is mere coincidence. Because if you dreamt whilst you were awake, you wouldn't be able to do anything else, because you'd be stuck in that world. Dreams can sometimes be an indication of what is to come. Mostly its a series of images your subconcious may have taken in.

yes . its true , normally what we think , we see or we want to see in normal routine that you can see in dreams, some time you got bad dreams because may be you have fear from some thing or some one , or place which you face earlier.
