That's what mp3 does, it compresses CDA (CD audio as a 'wave' file). A typical album of 650 megabytes gets compressed to 50 megabytes or smaller. So use a mp3 encoder to reduce the file. Audacity will perform that function for you and is a free program. Download it from a link below. Good luck!

If quality of music is really not a constraint here then, you can clip it by removing most of the high and low frequency tones and bring it to telephone qulaity, then you can change the format to mpeg etc so that all space on disk is utilized you would ultimately attain the process but loss in quality of music is for sure.

without deleting a lot of it/...go to ur folder right click , propoties than general , go to advanced atributes, click on the bottom where it says compress content to save disc space
