My mom favors my older sister, I'm OK with it, I'm a daddies girl!!!!

Is mom down on you? Hey favoritism appears to be colored by your feelings of jealousy.

You can say your not jealous but if you weren't you wouldn't be asking this question would you?

I'm sorry but I had to ask.

I am a parent of four kids. I recently spent a lot of time with one of the kids and another became quite jealous. It wasn't intentional and wasn't favortism. It was just that we share some things in common and discussed those. The one that was jealous was feeling left out.

Tell Mom that you feel like she's playing favorites but get her help in identifying why instead of just complaining to her.

Moms are far more helpful when they really understand what the problem is.

My mom did and still does. There is nothing you can do. One day she will need you and you will be there for her. While showing favoritism is unfair.. really there is nothing you can do. My heart goes out to you, because I never really got over that fact, however life does go on. Just learn from this and when you have children... dont follow in her footsteps.

My mom does. It has been a long hard life because of it. I still love her the same and wish nothing would happen to her. I just let a lot of things go. I don't take anything to heart anymore from her. The older I got...the worse it got. She told me that because I moved to another state that she would never come see me because I chose my husband over my family. It hurt.....but I would never be able to live a normal life if she were in the same town. As I said....I love her.....I just don't agree with her.

favortism to what , exactly???
my mom had 8 kids and yes,moms favorite certain kids. it is just the way it is.
i just go about who i am no matter what she says.
im 1 out of 8 kids and im in the middle, 4 older and 3 younger than me, so yes, i know that she favors some of the other kids, but i just did my things anyways.

my mom don't have favortism she treats me and my sisters equally no matter what but my dad on the other hand always shows my second sister more love and let her get away with things. Even though we're older now he still does but my other sister and I got used to it, and you should too.

If you feel that way, talk to your mother about it. Maybe she doesn't know that she leans towards your siblings more than you or visa versa. Remember to use the "I feel" statements rather than sounding like she's "doing this" and "doing that". She might get defensive. Try not to steer in that direction. Just let her know how you feel and maybe let her know that you love her.

Live with it. She's your mom. Maybe the sibling needs more than you. Parents may see you as stronger than you see yourself. Ignore it if you can.

Be sure bout it.Sometimes, ppl don't show ow much dey luv u.
But if it's true, you've got no problem.Try and live with it and don't do bad things dat'll make her justified bout u not being her Fav.
