Cats or dogs what? Choice of preference? Depends on a persons personality I would think, and what that persons preferences are. Me, I choose dogs over cats, but I have 2 cats. Love 'em all.

Well I happen to like both, you have to ask yourself a question how much time do you have and how much attention do you want to give... Dogs happen to be attention mongers which means they love attention and lots of love and also you gotta let them out to use the bathroom unless you dont mind them using the house as thier personal bathroom hehe ( I sure wouldnt) and on top of that thier just not self sufficient. Cats on the other hand are very self sufficent for the most part are they attention mongers as dogs are they can be but they always show you the attitude of they can live without you too, bathroom wise litter box or if your patient and gifted enough i heard you can even train them to use the toilet, you need to feed them everyday ofcourse or if your on a big trip you can just pour a few bowls of food and lift the toilet seat they'll drink from there (please flush if the water is tainted that would not be good for the kitty). I took a trip to Vegas about a week ago for 3 days left my cat 3 bowls of food filled up her water bowl, lifted the toilet seat turned on a radio and fan and left came back other than bothering me for attention for 2 hours when i got back she was just fine. So pretty much if you have time and love to give attention which you will also receive just as much back get a dog... If you want a pet that will show you love but also says kiss my *** sometimes but as well you dont have to help hand and foot get a cat.

Cats. Many people consider it cruel to leave a dog home alone all day while its owners are out making a living. With cats, like they care! They sleep most of the time you're gone so it's not like they're really missing you while you're out. But are they every happy to see you when you do get home! Also, I like a animal that doesn't require my attention when it needs to use the bathroom. Besides, scooping up after a dog is done its business is not my idea of fun.

Dogs are awesome but they are high maintenance, needing to be walked everyday and lots of attention. Cats are cool too but very self sufficient and a lot less work to take care of. If you have the time to take care of a dog then go for both, 1 cat and 1 dog.

Dog while you have the space or energy, cat when you can no longer be bothered with the hairs and dog walks etc.

Dogs r messy thinks! Smelling each others bits and poops!! Who started that, hey? A dog one day starts sniffing another one and it catches on how great it is and soon they're all doing it! Yuck!

Cats 4sure! A touch of class and cool!
