Are most wars caused by religious beliefs?
If you check history correctly then you will find that people use religion as a cover for their greed. Whatever the ruler of whatever country said, the people belived to be true. At the present the reason for most wars is exactly the same, greed and now they even added a couple more factors which go by the names of revenge, allies, and politics. These four things have nothing to do with religion and whoever says they do better go and study up on their religions again. Look at it like this: a larger or richer country tries to make themselves richer or more powerful so they start causing trouble or even start a war with another country which they would benefit from if they could could control them. there are so many factors to this such as trade or natural resources or even just land. Now that country might forget about it or the majority of people will, but there are always the ones who want their revenge some pass this hatred through their family lines and some stir other people to want this same revenge. There will always be people who will want it because of the suffering they had to endure. This is how rebel groups begin. If a rebel group strikes at a bigger country that country will retaliate and other countries will get involved because of their interests in these countries. how does that have anything to do with religion? Just the fact that two warring countries are of different religions or a terrorist group is of a different religion than the country it attacks doesn't mean that they are commiting religious acts. Even if they say they call upon their god or their gods for victory or wutever they want from the war, the reason they are fighting the war is never about religion. If it was about religion they would have no excuse to wage a war. Even in the so called "holy" land what are they really fighting over? It has nothing to do with religion but everything to do with territory and ancient disputes that everyone has forgotten about so that now all people can see is two countries of very different and very fanatical religions killing each other and both claiming that it has to do with God and that god is on their side. If they had any real beliefs in thier god and spent as much time understanding their religion as they spent killing people, they would find that what they are doing is against their religions. you even said it yourself "if religion teaches peace" it does, and if people say they kill others for their religion then do you think they know anything about their religion? Most people are born into religions, this doesn't mean they understand their religion or even believe it. Most do it for a show, and use it as an excuse for acts that would never be allowed in their religion saying that God or their gods will forgive them anyways. They are mistaken. there is no excuse for killing an innocent human being out of greed or revenge, but the human heart is evil and always will be. This is what religion is here for, to try to teach people to be better and to love or at least do good deeds. Am I right? Maybe you don't agree because you see so much killing in the world but if you really look closely, you will start to see the real reasons that people do bad things and it's always the same old story.- Me (a believer in my religion which does not tolerate killing)

You are absolutely right, all religions if you study their basic religious philosophies teach us to "love our neighbor" "refrain from the use of force" "treat others the way you want to be treated" etc.
Moses, Guathama Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed......All these teachers or messengers or "Messiahs" (means messenger)
brought the same message to mankind.

The fact is that the conflicts and wars that you learn about and see in the world today "appear" to caused by religious differences, but the real cause is hidden and never actually spotted, and therefore these conflicts persist throughout history and into the present.

For something to persist in this way it must contain a lie. Something false .
You are right, it just doesn't make any sense.

But consider this:

A society is capable of surviving for thousands of years unless it is attacked from within or without by hostile forces. Where such an attack occurs, the primary targets are it's religious and national gods and heroes, it's potential of leadership and the self respect and integrity of it's members.
If you look around you , you will find countless examples of these points. They scream at us every day from the newspapers and TV.
Probably the most critical point of attack on a culture is it's religious experience. Where one can destroy or undermine religious institutions then the entire fabiric of the society can be quickly subverted or brought to ruin.
For the last hundred years or so religion has been beset with relentless attack. You have been told it’s the “opiate of the masses “, that it’s unscientific, that it is primitive, in short , that it is a delusion.
The source of this kind of attack is always covert and hidden. It is promoted by a few who have a vested interest in a slave society.
Unfortunately these few rely on creating fear and insecurity in others to forward and promote their enemy propaganda. These others feel, correctly, they have to defend themselves from an attack, but because the real enemy is hidden, they can be manipulated to attack what they really should be defending as they cannot see the real enemy.

The key here is that underneath all these attacks on organised religion there is one fundemental target:
The spirituality of man, your own basic spiritual nature, self respect and peace of mind.

Take the current conflict between Israel and Lebanon as an example.
Who is funding these guerillas so they have all these very expensive arms and rockets to fire on Israel? Why doesn't the United Nations have any clout to stop this constant unsanctioned aggression? (Or any wars for that matter since that was their mandate in 1948 after World War 2)
In whose interest is it really to keep this fight going just
at the point where Israel was starting to make real progress towards peace in the Middle East ?

Concepts like "New World Order" need closer examination.
These doesn't mean what it "appears" to mean.
This is slavery in disguise. The eradication of individual liberty and freedom.
There is a Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ratified by the United Nations in 1948. It transcends all borders.
Eleanor Roosevelt was the principle architect of this Declaration.
Has anybody heard of it? Does anybody actually know about it?

Give us some numbers, if you really know more than everyone else like you claim. Most deaths aren't caused by religious wars. Even battles caused over conflicting beliefs, mainly the ones we're hearing about a lot right now in the Middle East, are not even the true beliefs of the non radicals. It's people skewing the religion.

Hate it or love it, you're wrong.

Religion might teach peace but the people who say that they follow a religion tend to mess it up. They say that we are fighting a "holy war" but killing innocents? What is that?? Let's take Islam for example and all that is going on (i.e people say that Islam tecahes terriosm etc when it does NOT, I tell you it does not I AM A MUSLIM!), Islam itself teaches peace and love and all stuff like that it does NOT teach to be violent but the people who call themselves "muslims" go and mess that up and what happens it's not the human's evil deed that comes in and said that so and so person is bad and did a bad act it is said that Islam is a bad religion which is so not true. But then I noticed that people say that about Islam but when a Jew or a Christian etc goes and does a wrong it is said that they did a wrong not that their religion teaches it..... you might agree with me you might not but that's up to you I am saying it as it is. So to answer your question a religion doesn't teach to hate another religion (well Islam does not and I cannot speak for the rest) but people take the religion in whatever way they want and the human evil that is there messes up the religion and it is blamed on the religion when it is wholly the person's fault....... hope I make sense.....

I do not know where you get your information concerning the major cause of human death in the world, but I can *** sure you that it is wrong. The ONLY cause for human death is sin, and your hatred is definitely sin. Before sin entered the world, there was no death. When Adam sinned, then death entered the world. Before sin entered the world there was no disease, no accidents, no violence, no perilous acts of nature. Today, war actually accounts for a very small percentage of the deaths worldwide. War in modern times is not religious, but political. What is going on in Lebanon today is political---trust me in this. Jews and Muslims could care less about religion---it is all over territory and who is going to rule it---that is geopolitical. Jesus loves you despite your hatred for America.

religion teaches peace, yes it is true, believe it or not.

but some people tend to think that they kill ir do inhumane things because of their religion, it is just like a student not listening to the teacher and thinks that he knows everything.

that is exactly what is happening, some people who are not really educated about their religion do war because they think that is what their religion is saying.
but it is not true.

the belief that they pertain to as the reason why they do murder is not the one taught by religion. it is the belief that they think killing is the only way to show their religion, just like adolf hitler did.

do your own research-most human deaths are NOT caused by religious war, or any other kind of war, for that matter...starvation and disease take far more lives...but to get to what seems your central assertion, most religions do teach peace, but most people don't follow the teachings...blaming 'religions' for war and hatred is like blaming the dictionary for misspellings

"i comprehend alot better than you do" Oh, that's humorous. And with regard on your silly question, maximum human deaths at the instant are not brought about by non secular wars or adverse ideaologies. possibly you will desire to have researched till now you asked this question extremely of asking human beings to examine till now answering it. maximum deaths are, truly, brought about by "organic" motives, meaning dying by previous age, starvation, affliction etc. and you do comprehend that most of the worst mass killings in all of human historic past have been brought about by atheists like Hitler and Stalin, precise? (and no, in spite of what some crackpot web pages ought to tell you, Hitler became no longer a Christian). Edit: I on no account suggested which you suggested "all", stupid. You suggested, and that i quote, "If faith teaches peace, why are maximum human deaths are brought about by regilious conflict or hatred different ideals?" I merely proved to you that maximum human deaths at the instant are not brought about by non secular conflict, or hatred or something like that. and additionally, if faith skill any concept, such as you're saying, then i assume even atheism is a faith. So your comprehensive tirade is incomprehensible. definitely everyone believes something, whether that's in God or naturalism or in spite of else. And the comprehensive element is, somebody calling themselves a "Christian" ought to kill somebody, yet that ought to be GOING against THE regulations of their very own faith. yet while an atheist kills somebody, that's thoroughly consistent with their ideals, through fact there isn't any suitable ethical code if life as all of us comprehend it is not something better than an twist of destiny.

Terrorists tend to hide behind the nomenclature of Religious War, when in fact it is just pure terrorism and has nothing to do with religion.

I used to ask myself that too. I have come to the conclusion that it is caused by the evil in human hearts. No amount of peace a religion teaches will resolve that.
