With the help of modern science, great advancements have been made in agriculture.
A. Breeders are now creating entirely new plant species. These scientifically developed species are disease-resistant and high-yield plants.
B. Scientific advancements in the medical field are very exciting. For example, new equipment allows doctors to make three-dimensional x-rays.
C. The producing, selling, and distributing of farm products is part of an industry called agribusiness. In the United States, over 40 per cent of the work force is involved in this industry.
D. Farming and agriculture began thousands of years ago. Before that time, people were nomads and spent thier lives searching for food.
