A knotty problem because of Pakistan's nuclear capability. But India could perhaps harness the loyalty of its huge number of Muslims ( just make absolutely sure they are loyal) to infiltrate and sabotage Pakistan, stir up trouble, destabilise it and then take over the country and/or install a puppet regime there. The US does this all the time, through the CIA. The British did it too. Support the Baluchi rebellion. Keep India's economy and military growing so Pakistan is no match. And practice "gunboat diplomacy"- comply, or else! Offer to cooperate with the US militarily to attack and weed out remnants of the Taliban and its affiliates in both Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Pakistanis would never dream of confronting the US. They are poodles of the US, its dependants.Cooperate closely with Israel and Russia in methods and intelligence. In fact, sign a mutual-defence treaty with Israel and Russia. And diplomatically get China to ease up its support for Pakistan, although this may be difficult. Try warning Pakistan. And if all this doesn't stop the terrorism, go for all-out war! But only after building enormous numbers of fallout shelters and installing many anti-missile missiles! Then make sure India wins, Pakistan is annihilated and rendered uninhabitable for at least 100,000 years! This may happen to parts of India too, but India should first evacuate its cities and relocate its millions and millions to the Himalayas, where they will be safer.Just don't display weakness, India! Remember, Pakistan, Afghanistan and parts of Iran were ALL RULED BY INDIA IN ASHOKA'S TIME. We are of royal lineage, with Lions as our emblem. No defeatism! Ever!

India-Pakistan intelligence chiefs speaking at length on hotline accompanied with the aid of Defence Ministerial point talks and then a 6 am emergency cupboard assembly all element to a minimum of one course. my own feeling is that the Pak government is thoroughly held ransom with the aid of the terrorists who've a secure residing house in Pakistan. India ought to commence commando operations into Pakistan in basic terms like the individuals are doing and flush out the lairs of the terrorists. If India invades Pakistan as we talk, it ought to have the worldwide leaders backing it. Pakistan as we talk is on this is knees and might't arise with the funds for a war spanning extra suitable than 5 days. this is the time to strike and wipe out the incapable government there. Thereafter, the Indian government ought to grant protection to the Pakistani voters who've none from their own government. Pakistan voters are our brothers and have a suitable to stay a secure and wealthy lives. yet Pakistan as a rustic ought to be wiped out and be made area of India the place all could hit upon a tolerant residing house.

First of All India will never dare to attack Pakistan as India remembers what happened to it in 1965 when the Indian Army attacked Pakistan (which had little arms at that time), and were beaten badly by the pakistani army and INDIA LOST THE WAR.
Now coming towards your question full heartdly. NO one has the proof that the mumbai attacks were from the pakistani side, secondly it may be some kashmiri who has attacked the indian state as a "REVENGE" to the Terrorism of india in Kashmir. The world knows what India is doing in kashmir and specially "THE INDIAN ARMY KNOWS THAT, EVERY MONTH MANY INDIAN SOLDIERS SUISIDE, RUN AWAY OR KILL THEIR CO-PERSONEL". MY QUESTION IS THAT "HOW WILL INDIA ATTACK IF IT DOES NOT HAVE ANY PROOF, HAVING NO LEGAL REASON, ALSO REMEMBERING THE 1965 DEFEAT AND SUCH A TYPE OF ARMY WHO'S MEN EITHER SUISIDE OR RUN AWAY"? i think i have answered the question.

My dear friend, Let me tell you some thing, I am a pakistani and your question is realy harsh, but let me prove that we can solve it by well known arguments and not blindly with war. My dear did you ever thought that when ever there is a blast in pakistan we blame India, and same is the case with you. Now just think for a moment that you blame us and we blame you, You might be right but we might also not be wrong. and this whole game is on because of some other nations who dont want to see us prosperous and closer to each other. If India attacks Pakistan then you know the histroy well any one of us will have to go back and that fu**in USA will again come and will decide that what should we do???? I am not expecting 10 Points from you but this is not for 10 points this is for love and friendship, Let us be colser and friends. Dont try again to play in the hands of USA.

I totally agree that we have already taken unacceptable losses and this can not go on for ever. Mumbai(1993),Akshardham,J&K assembly,Parliament, Ayodhya, Varanasi,Bangalore,Delhi and Mumbai(11/7)are some of the major attacks. We have a situation in our country where government is paranoid of annoying minority community due to vote bank politics. The country is infested with Madrassahs allover some of which are known to support terrorists. Add to this The SIMI activists whose credentials have not been proven beyond doubt. There are nearly 5000 schools or madrassahs along the border with Nepal and Bangladesh. There are also 20 million illegal Bangladeshis in India. We are not advocating all these institutions are supportng and spreading terorism. But some of them are as revealed by past investigations. One of the famous "SMS" doing the rounds during the recent attack was-"All Muslims are not terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims".Home ministry and security forces of both State and Centre have their platters full with urgent and immediate problems.Neither do we have strong leaders nor the will to deal with the situation with an iron hand.Let us hope and pray that those at the helm weill wake up to the threatening scenerio and act as expediently as possible. We will leave internal security for a while and look at the international situation. In the days and years ahead US and India are destined to march forward united. The die has been cast the way the Nuclear agreement is going. We have to persuade US to pressure Pakistan to stop the cross border activity. They are at it already. However they have to pander to General Musharraf's request with due regard to internal situation in Pakistan. Our best option to fight Pakistan is to pay them back in the same coin. Baluchistan presently is on fire and there is a tumultuous revolt which Pakistan is trying to crush. The results are not encouraging. Every alternate day there are fueds in Pakistan between Shiias and Sunnis. There is no agreement on major issues between Centre and Federating States. One example is the construction of Kalabagh dam.NWFP are not happy with pro-US policies of centre. They want to introduce Sharia law which is not acceptable to most moderate Pakistanis. All the political parties are up in arms against Musharraf contesting election again to president's post in UNIFORM.These have to be wisely exploited by the intelligence agencies. Our best option is to deal with the present establishment. If something happens chances are that some religious fundementalist party may come to power. I feel covert actions to inflict losses on Pakistan are an attractive option as compared to outright nuclear attack which will leave untold destruction on both sides and may not be worth it at least for the present . Another option is to work for the elimination of Nukes and facilities in Pakistan. Israel is waiting in the lines for a possble chance. These are difficult and dangerous times and those at the helm will need to play their cards very deftly so that terrorist menace which is eating in to our vitals as a virus is annihilated once for all.

There is as yet no proof that the Mumbai bombers were from Pakistan, or supported by Pakistan. The Kashmir question, assuming it is relevant, could possibly be settled by people sitting round the table. Attacks like these are counter-productive, which should be clear to all concerned.
The Kashmir problem is complex and it is not clear if those fighting for their rights are terrorists or freedom fighters.
The Muslim population of Gujarat left India in droves after partition, and there were massacres of Muslims as well as Hindus.
It's time to calm down and sit round the table.

Your question is totally based on the propaganda you hear through the government based media in India. First of remember these 2 things
(1) there always is My story, your story and yet the "Real story". So whenever you look at the things, try to look at it unbiased.
(2) Media in the present era shows only the facts, they want you to know. They dont show you the real picture.
Now having said this, let me explain few facts: -
When India and Pakistan were made 2 independent states in 1947, the Red Cliff award intentionally left the disputed areas unresolved so that both these countries be on war with each other and never pose a threat (economically or militarily) to any one out side the sub-continent. They knew that the resources, human labor force and terrain in the area is such that if there is a peace in this region, it will come up as a super power.
In the past, Pakistan was a nursery of terrorists because it was in the interest of USA and the west to have such training place so near to Afghanistan so that Russia could be eliminated from Afghanistan. These terrorists not only harmed the neighboring countries but the real harm they made was inside Pakistan. They killed the people in the garb of religious differences, teriitorial disputes and other enoumerous reasons.
Just like Pakistan, India has also been training terrorists to work for her in Sri Lanka and Maldives (recall Indian interference in these countries), so these terrorists have their vested interests at they are still active.
There is a faction of hawks both in India and Pakistan whose interests clash if India and Pakistan are at peace, so they do not want us to be at peace or at least have talks on peace.
based on the above facts, it is now common that any of these groups gets activated and attacks once in India and on the second time in Pakistan. We must cool-mindedly handle them and instead of thinking like going to war against each other, should sit together and try to chalk out a plan of peace and nearness so that the vested interests of such groups are curtailed and general public can come closer and co-operate economically.
Both the nations should, instead of blaming each other, work out plans on exchange of criminals, joint investigations of such incidents and must continue the confidence building measures.
Pakistan is fighting against the terrorism and is already on war against terrorists. This has been acknowledged internationally. Lets not talk of yet another war as war is never a solution of any thing. Lets endeavor to bring peace and join hand to co-operate with each other to make this regional a peaceful and progressive part of the world.
spit out the anger and SMILE.

Yes, since Pakistan appears unable or unwilling to resolve the problem. This has been the case since 911. The USA has expressed unhappiness over this numerous times, and Pakistan seems to be over-run with rogue elements in its security services that do not want to see the problem go away. Instead, it has devoted resources to nuclear activities, even to the detriment of fixing the welfare of its people.
