This is a question not a statement : If God Made light appear on the first day of creation, (Genesis 1 : 3), and than created the Sun, Moon and Stars on the fourth day (Genesis 1 : 14 - 18),
Where did the light come from on the first day?

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
If the light was from Gods presence, hewould not have to say "Let there be light" it would already be, plus how could the light be divided from the darkness if it was from his presence ,for it would always be light for God is everywhere.

Good question...
What bugs me about creationism is the argument:
Creationist: "How can the Universe just be? Everything needs a creator, God created it."
Atheist: "Really? Who created God then"
Creationist: "God doesn't need to be created..."
Er, hello?
No logic can flow from people who are capable of that level of illogicality.

Where does the light come from when you can't see the sun? Or during a bad storm thru the day.....who separated the darkness from the light? Sounds like good reading in Job chapter 38 also the sun did not appear until Genesis verses 14-19 on the fourth day when it says the sun, moon and stars were made. So you can have light without the sun.

When God said on Day One, “Let light come to be,” diffused light evidently penetrated the cloud layers even though the sources of that light could not yet be discerned from the earth’s surface. It seems that this was a gradual process, as is indicated by translator J. W. Watts: “And gradually light came into existence.” (Ge 1:3, A Distinctive Translation of Genesis) God brought about a division between the light and the darkness, calling the light Day and the darkness Night. This indicates that the earth was rotating on its axis as it revolved around the sun, so that its hemispheres, eastern and western, could enjoy periods of light and darkness.—Ge 1:3, 4.

Light came from the energy released at the moment of creation, otherwise known as the "big bang". You could say that the study of Physics as it applies to the creation of the universe aligns with the notion of God as creating the Universe in this way.

Veyomar Alhim yehi aur veyehi aur ... I don't have a Hebrew font ... so this will have to do ... "And God(ALHIM being a plural and feminine host of spirits) said let there be light ...and there was light ...
This in it's original Hebrew has alot of layers of beautiful contemplation to it ... as actually every letter can be expanded upon contemplatively ...
But I am in accord with you ... It doesn't jive in a literal sense real well ... but one could say this light is electomagnetic and on an early quantum level ...within moments (nanoseconds) of the big bang, if one wants to force some scientific corrolaries with this scheme ...

the actual foundation of sunshine comes from interior of your own ideas interior of an identical way that easy seems on your own objectives! actual scientists have not yet chanced in this yet and, for sure, will arise with their own medical and psychological rationalization as to the position uncomplicated comes from. My rationalization is the terrific answer and, besides, also solutions your different question as to the position darkness comes from - it comes out of your own ideas, too. (The 'concept' of entire darkness comes from interior of your own ideas.) Now, all of this may sound very philosophical, yet enable me ask you a question: the position does the muse of a music come from? the position does mind's eye in any variety or creativity come from? when you're saying that this stuff come out of your mind then you somewhat are incorrect! Your mind is not any better than an rather state-of-the-paintings pc. Your ideas is something thoroughly diverse! All issues come from interior of your ideas even if it is uncomplicated, darkness, creativity or notion! there is truly a faith in western civilization which could clarify this stuff in case you need to ever favor to look into Christian technological understanding! This faith is a techniques and above better 'stepped forward' with their philosophical understanding of what's truly occurring down the following on the earth. in reality, Mark Twain got here to trust that the founding father of Christian technological understanding, Mary Baker Eddy, develop into the best lady who ever lived!

Good question.. never be afraid to question something that doesn't make sense. Just accepting something without asking is foolish and I think it shows laziness. This not only applies to religion, but rules, government and politics, science and any other teachings or conceptions.
Sorry but I don't have your answer, I hope you find what you are looking for.

I believe the light came from God himself. It iss sasid that if we were to try and look at God in His true form it would totally blind us. That is why Jesus had to come down as a man.
